| Teaching In Thailand Teaching in Thailand can be a great career with salaries in the range of $2,500 to $6,000 per month, or you could become a TEFLer with a salary range of 350-500 pounds per month, no experience necessary. |

| Still trailer trash | Teachers making over 100k? **Is this guy serious? These people have so much to learn. I have this friend who is not a teacher, but he told me that all the teachers he knows in Thailand (only 5-6) make over 100k a month. I told him this is an exception, but he seriously thinks the average teaching wage in Thailand is much higher than it is. I have two questions: 1. What is the average teaching wage in Thailand? I'm guessing 35k per month, but maybe I'm wrong. 2. Where can you make 100k a month teaching in Thailand? I know international schools pay good, but they're usually only 50k from the ads that I saw. I imagine if it's possible, you'd have to have a real teaching degree. Teachers making over 100k? - Ajarn Forum - Living and Teaching In Thailand

| Not international. The first school was a small private school by the old airport and I got 35,000 plus a sweet condo. I only really took the job because of the condo. And the second was Twepangnam (spelling) the school that got in sh1t for thier nazi sports day. Ha ha. That was after I left. They paid us 45,000 but kept 3,000 which you could claim back at the end of the year if you stayed for 1 year. Sneaky knuts. |

| Teachers at the top handful of international schools make over 100k, and such schools recruit overseas to get experienced teachers and avoid recruiting people who took an education degree only because they want to earn a good salary in Thailand. Teachers at the many other schools that call themselves international and yet have nearly all thais on the student register earn more like 60-80k |

As for salaries, here is the bottom line: how much are these people sending home per month or per year? If your not financially secure, and you are not investing, consider teaching for no more than 5 years.

At Prem a figure like that could be possible if the person was working in some sort managerial capacity. Otherwise it is bollocks. | ||||
