I know you aren't very good at doing that, and have very little intelligence and insight to offer on forums, but please try. Alternatively, just post "what rot!" a few more hundred times under posts in which the opinion disgusts your small bigoted brain.

I'll guess you don't have a bachelor's degree as you don't even know how to spell it.

Yes, on a number of issues. I can't prove that, but I don't need to. Take a simple look at the Text and Talk banner on ajarn. It says "worldwide accreditation". Okay, fine and dandy. There was no misunderstanding at the time his bluff was called. However, suffice to say the MoE doesn't get involved unless a TL being issued. Even then, well never mind. It would as you indicate depend which WP office and the mood of the day etc.. I previously said SOME Thai's consider the Thai issued TEFL certificate was or is equalivant to a legitimate college degree. They may know better but I doubt it in some cases. Pat, I'm not sure if you are playing devil's advocate here or are actually backing up your buddy kk, but I will spend a bit of time to clear up your misunderstandings.

Firstly, I actually said that the ad and the website created by kk are a crock of shit, not "they (Text and Talk)" as in the school itself. The school as an educator might be too, but that is another topic. This thread is about selling TEFL courses, i.e. salesmen, ads, websites.

Secondly, why do you suggest that this might be related to jealousy over money? If I were to be jealous of someone with money it would probably be the owner of Microsoft in the USA, Virgin in the UK, or Minor Foods in Thailand, not someone running a backstreet school in Bangkok which can no longer afford its prominent Bangkok Post banner.

If you think it is some kind of jealousy over kk's lifestyle, well then you must be as deluded as him to think that I'd want to spend my life playing on internet forums to try to make a living and shacked up with a wife and kid on the poxy salary it pays.

I realise that kk has probably informed you that I am jealous of him, as he says it all the time on forums, yet I'm never quite sure whether he actually believes it, and is thus deluded into somehow believing he has a great life, or is just saying it to wind me up because he thinks it does. Either way, I used to feel sorry for the guy. Now I can't be bothered to.

He hates the fact that he can't just get on with manipulating newbies because people like me constantly let on and rock his little boat, and for that he has masses of venom towards me. He has managed to build a little group of friends around him to protect him, via clowing and entertaining, handing out visa letters, doing favours etc (i.e. the Thai way of making friends rather than the British way in my opinion), because he knows he needs them to back him up to keep his little schemes going.

I've analysed this thread and here are my conclusions without naming names:

1. The original post contained the word 'perse'. There's only one poster here who regulary uses this incorrect spelling of a very rarely used piece of the English language.

2. The OP received a response within 3 minutes. It would take me a lot longer than this to read the and digest the OP and then write a response. And then I would have to notice there's a new thread first - incredible! There are further examples of the OP's (Dalacin) posts being responded to within a very short time.

3. Who would gain from TEFL Int. being damaged? Well, other TEFL providers obviously

4. Does the usual suspect work for a TEFL provider? YES!

There's more, but you can pm for it if you're interested.

What will happen now? The usual suspect will silently complain to friendly moderators and have this thread binned. The usual suspect will have his colleagues at his TEFL course respond to my post by trying to belittle it.

I noticed the ad had diminished in size and placement. FYI, the "other" TEFL provider which advertises alot on the other site has some sort of "agency" deal going, lists jobs then says you have to pay them to get the certificate etc., same ol bullshit. I find this deceptive as well. Do you? I mean, these ads in the help wanted sections just have always seemed out of place to me big time. That is where people LOOKING FOR WORK read, not where people looking for an educational enrichment deal look. It seems very unprofessional to me, but maybe I'm alone in that sentiment?
