Post Further Education for a Thai via scholarships

Does anybody know of or even know the details of what/any scholarships that are available to Thai's for both Foriegn and Local tertiary study ?

Has anyone had experience with the application system and whether they are fair and impartial or ridden with corruption etc ?

There are many scholarships for further study via overseas institutions, not specifically for Thai. No corruption as far as I know.

There is one on the Uk embassy/govt website.
I'll see if I can find a link

    Update
It is called the Chevening Scholarship and is for overseas graduates.
    The link is here https://www.gov.uk/chevening-scholar...-from-overseas

looking for ideas from people about options a Thai student may have after they have finished secondary school other than their area "university"

I had recently come across scholarships from the Turkish government for Malagasy students to go to Turkey and study medicine which prompted me to wonder what was available to Thai students .
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

If qualified the Thai govt. sends people to foreign universities at the govt. expense, I believe they will have to work for the govt. for a few years upon return. My nephew has a few friends in schools in the US payed for by the Thai govt.. The competition is tough but it is possible.

Just clarifying, because local or foreign could have meant the name of the institution, not necessarily location.

A teacher of ours went to Sydney for her Masters degree and returned last year, this year another teacher has just won a scholarship programme to Japan. I'll ask them who and how.

As my nephew has been through the application and testing process he could lead them in the right direction for this program, last year no one qualified, they were all a little deficient in the English language.

Well, every student can find the financial aid they need to study abroad. Great sources!
