so, you have posted a couple of sentences in what passes for English and made at least three mistakes

I hope you want to be a lecturer in some other subject

Guys, go easy on Rajiv. It's a reasonable question, no need to throw stones . He's obviously not a native English speaker, so some errors in language use are acceptable. Not everyone teaches English, some people do have real qualifications beyond being a native speaker of a popular language. Hard to imagine, I know.

As far as I know, legally the only requirement is a college degree, but convincing a university to hire you is a different matter. I know people without a PhD lecturing, so a Master's of any kind should be OK... but this depends on the subject.

I agree expat, provided that his subject is not English, he may well be an excellent teacher

    Cambridge Degree

    Hi All!

I have a BA and MA in English Literature from Cambridge University, UK.

I am looking to use my qualifications in Thailand by teaching at an International School or lecturing at an english speaking university.

And I was wondering whether Oxbridge degrees are held in high regard (ie. would improve my chances of landing a job) or are they not a factor in Thailand?

    Best,

    Guy
