    NES English teacher required

    We have a position for a NES English teacher at The Kanchanapisek wittayalai School Petchabun.The school is around 10k from The quiet town of Lom Sak in what is considered to be the most beautiful part of Thailand. Lom Sak is around a 5 hour drive north of Bangkok

    The position offers a lot of benifits including accommodation. The school will help with visa and work permit. A degree in any field and Tefl or similar cert is required

    The Kanchanapisek wittayalai school is a prestigious Government High School with around 800 students and 85 Teachers.
    The school has a requirement that the applicant be under 55 years old.

    Salary is between 30,000 to 35,000 depending on experience for a 18 periods per week.


    Working hours are 8.00am to 16.30pm, you will be expected to attend school functions during school hours.

    Lomsak is a great place to live.
    I worked at that school for it's first six years. It was a good place to work at.

    There used to be plenty of opportunity for extra tutoring after hours.

    Sorry but what is a NES English speaker?

    I dont have a formal teaching qual, but have a engineering degree, would that do?

    What happened to your other job? 30,000 aint gonna be much for a family to live on.

    True, but it's better than the 15k routinely offered around here. Why don't the churches do something useful for a change, and get their plethora of useless but well meaning missionaries to teach English in schools?

    Agreed- very nice part of the country around there.

    35k seems to be the norm now thats gone down or not gone up since i forst got here over 10 yrs ago but inflation has gone thru the roofs whats with this 30k across the board phenominon

    Still got it but in Laos, would rather Thailand, that said more i look into it better Laos is looking.
