    Now it's Bahrain

Security Forces Break Up Demonstratons in Bahrain

Security forces have attacked a demonstration by Bahraini protestors in Manama Bahrain. They apparently attacked the protestors at about 3 a.m. this morning. The security forces say that tey ordered the protestors to leave, and when they would not, they were forced to attack the protestos to make them leave.
The protestors say they were never told to leave, the security forces attacked without any warning.
Many people were apparently asleep...and if there ever was a warning to leave...they did not hear any warning.
The security forces apparently fired tear gas and then they attacked the protestors.
2 or 3 people were killed.

I'm listening to a local Bahraini commentator on the BBC now.
He is saying he saw 3 dead himself...killed by the Bahraini security forces. Two who died in the square and one who later died in the hospital from his injuries.
He is now at the hospital where he is saying that thee are over a thousand people inside the hospital right now. The security police have the hspital compound surrounded and theyare allowing no one to leave. The same Bahrani commentator says the police will not allow ambulances to bring in wounded from the previous clash...and there are still wounded in the square who can't get to the hospital because the security police won't allow them into the hospital.

Looks like hetic days coming in Bahrain...that will make the Saudis very, very nervous.

Follow this story on the BBC World news.

The merikan 5th fleet has a base in Bahrain. They wont be condemning the British installed "royal" family or allowing a "democratic" Shia government takeover.

I await Clinton's announcement of allowing the people their preferred choice to take over.

Tear gas, rifle bullets, Tanks, armoured personnel carriers, rubber bullets, helicopters, riot shields, police batons etc. against sleeping unarmed civilian men, women and children.

Possibly a job for the UN Peace Envoy for the region - Blair. Lets see what the Iranians are called when they start supporting the uprising

    By some more oil futures.

the Iranians are won't start supporting the uprising , this protest momentum is getting a bit too near them for comfort.
Democracy is no good for these countries ; in an election the losing side need to accept defeat ,they never will do that .

I don't get it. All Bahrain are doing is showing the same "restraint" that Iran are, in fact they're probably being slightly nicer about it.

Thousands are attending the funerals today, the security forces are staying away from the scene, but you can bet your arse that if the "mourners" kick off afterwards there will be another leathering for them.

Too many vested interests to let the Shi'a take over Bahrain.
