    The most unpresidential move yet

Bowing to Mussie princes, buying the queen of England a pink Ipod and now this!! This guy has to be the biggest laughing stick of a leader the world has EVER seen! Obama brings in his papa Bill and to fix things and then has to cut out because Michelle is waiting to go to a Christmas party? There are plenty of soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq eating spam for Christmas whilst sleeping in foxhole that wish they could cut out to go to a Christmas party with their wife and this POS can't stick around for a press conference?

Barack Obama | Bill Clinton | Obama Clinton | Mediaite
President Obama Brings Bill Clinton In To Talk Tax Plan…And Then Leaves To Go To A Christmas Party!

“I’ve never seen anything like that,” said MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur after cutting back following a press conference on the tax plan. It had begun with a surprise appearance by President Obama who then brought in a further surprise, none other than Bill Clinton, to help him explain the deal. However, after introducing Clinton and letting him begin to talk, Obama suddenly announced that he was leaving for a Christmas party and vanished, letting Clinton talk for 25 more minutes as if it was 1996! I guess it could have been worse. Obama could have left to go play hoops. Seriously, what was the thinking here? This has to be one of the worst PR moves in the entirety of the administration. Obviously, Clinton is probably a more popular Democratic figure right now, but they had to imagine this would hurt Obama. I mean, letting a former president explain your tax bill while you head to a Christmas party? A Christmas party?
Check out four clips from MSNBC below: Obama introducing Clinton, Clinton talking about the Tax Bill, Obama leaving after ABC Jake Tapper’s question and MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur’s shocked response afterwards:

Clinton Gets Comfortable At White House Podium : NPR

President BARACK OBAMA: I'm going to let him speak very briefly, and then I've actually got to go over and do some - just one more Christmas party. So he may decide he wants to take some questions, but I want to make sure that you guys hear it from him directly. Unidentified Man #1: Thank you.
    Pres. OBAMA: Thank you.
Unidentified Man #2: Thank you very much, Mr. President.
RAZ: But those remarks were not so brief. After about 10 minutes, President Obama quietly excused himself from the podium. Mr. Clinton carried on for another 20 minutes.
NPR's national political correspondent Don Gonyea was watching it all. And, Don, have you ever seen anything quite like it, a sitting president standing on the sidelines for 10 minutes while his predecessor waxes on?
DON GONYEA: I've never seen anything even remotely like this. There have been occasions when the sitting president and the former president or maybe two former presidents walk into the room - even walk into the room...
    RAZ: Yeah.
GONYEA: ...on short notice, but I have never seen one essentially turn the podium over to the other and say: Have at it. My wife is waiting for me.
    (Soundbite of laughter)
GONYEA: We have this party to go to.
    RAZ: Exactly what he said...
    GONYEA: Exactly.
RAZ: ...after about 10 minutes. Let's hear President Obama.
Pres. OBAMA: Here's what I'll say, is that I've been keeping the first lady waiting for about half an hour. So I'm going to take off. But...
President BILL CLINTON: Well, I don't want to make her mad. Please go.
Pres. OBAMA: ...you're in good hands.

The Potus is a civilian President, not a Mussolini. So why act like one.

Chitown, you are right. Obama is doing lots of nutty things for sure. He should just start a war like the right wing presidents then blame all the spending on that. He should come out with a better homeland security act that closes down Fox news and put all the radical right wingers who oppose it in jail. He should have learned from the rightwingers who saw to the deaths and torture to hundreds of thousands. He should learn to blame everything on the right wing Nazis in America. He should put G Bush and his cronies in jail or just assassinate them all like the right wingers suggest should be done to threats to America. Obama should rack up the death count and he'll get elected for another term. He can blame all the spending on Osama bin laden too.

It was a bad week for Obama and he made an unceremonious exit from a press event leaving the stage to Bill Clinton. After caving in and handing the rich an extension on their tax breaks he has more than this peccadillo to earn him scorn from me.

What's really delicious is not one but two Democrat Presidents endorsing the Bush Tax Cuts!

PAUL GIGOT, WALL STREET JOURNAL: Well, they're saying, "No, no, no. No, shift." However, implicitly, it is a shift. I love the symbolism of two Democratic presidents--not one, but two--endorsing Bush tax cuts, saying, "We need them crucially to help the economy." The president, I think, is implicitly admitting that tax rates matter. After a couple of years, as you showed on the--with the, the discussion with Austan Goolsbee and Tim Geithner had said, "They don't matter." We--now they're saying, yes, they do matter, and then implicitly admitting that tax cuts matter more for growth than spending. And it makes you wonder why didn't they do this two years ago"

    No shit Sherlock...

Tax cuts will not fix the deficit alone. I don't see how continuing tax breaks for the rich that they have had all through this crisis will suddenly, magically stimulate the economy. Extending the Bush tax cuts will dig us into a deeper hole.
They are celebrating at Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. The rich will send their dough abroad just like they have always done.

But, the rich like to give themselves tax cuts...

As Buffet said "the rich in America have never had it so good...", this seems to be the case everywhere. The world has gone insane and all the bloody rich fukers are sucking the pot dry leaving the rest to deal with the problems; where did the yellow lot leave those tall wooden numbers with the metal cutter at the top?

^totally agree. Fox is leading the charge to have all Americans kissing the feet of the wealthy. Not only do they get the tax breaks, they want us to worship them. It all goes into the glories Jesus and money idea which most churches seem to live off of. The rich are rich not only out of effort but out of God's will to make them rich. We should praise them and treat them with more respect. God loves cash!

    Chitown,

You OP reveals that instead of reading and thinking for yoursefl, you just regurgitate the Drudge report.

This is a non-issue, and a joke. Another wind up by Drudge, and yes I read Drudge every day.

Think for yourself. You'll be surprised at what you can do.

The list goes on and on but the latest unpresidential move probably won't suprise you: Shocker. Obama Declines to Distance Himself From Hoffa’s Violent Rhetoric.

Barack Obama declined to distance himself from the violent and hateful rhetoric from Jimmy Hoffa today.
    ABC reported:

Despite President Obama’s repeated claims to change the tone in Washington, the White House had no comment this afternoon after Teamsters Union leader James Hoffa, speaking at an event before President Obama, said of Tea Party activists that, come November, Democrats should “take these sons of bitches out.”
Warming up the crowd before President Obama’s Labor Day speech in Detroit this afternoon, Hoffa warned the largely union crowd that the Tea Party was waging a “war on workers.”

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Hoffa told thousands of workers gathered for the annual event organized by the Detroit Labor Council.

“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march…Everybody here’s got a vote…Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” he concluded.

The Tea Party Express has called on President Obama to “condemn this inappropriate and uncivil rhetoric,” saying it “has no place in the public forum.”

“Jimmy Hoffa’s remarks are inexcusable and amount to a call for violence on peaceful tea party members, which include many Teamster members,” Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer said in a written statement."

Heh...plus, the dumbest website on the internet Media Matters defended Teamster President Jimmy Hoffa’s profanity-laced threatening speech against conservatives today.

Media Matters insisted that Hoffa’s remarks were taken out of context."

Uh huh...& I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale too...

    Smart move bringing in Clinton.

He can think on the spot without referring to teleprompters or notes when it comes to important things.

Obama can wear the party hat and play with the children.

The Democrats are seeking a way to dump the Obamanation for 2012. It looks worse than Jimmy Carters bid for relection.

Well, someone out to remind him to put his hat back on so nobody will notice. Hoffa is a repulsive thug.

“I’ve been keeping the first lady waiting for about half an hour, so I’m going to take off,” Obama said.

By excusing himself to meet his waiting wife he appears hen-pecked.
