Funny the selective amnesia of the right wing, innit? Where was their OUTRAGE when GW knocked some 6 million seniors out of their coverage thanks to his Medicare plan?

Six million lost coverage on first day of Bush Medicare drug program

With the Affordable Care Act now in full effect, the conservative propaganda factory is working overtime to produce and publicize Obamacare horror stories, real or imagined. So with the federal government, the states, private insurers, hospitals, doctors, and pharmacies scrambling to assist the six million newly insured so far, the GOP's media water carriers are decrying enrollment snafus, delayed surgeries, emergency fixes in the states, and even national drugstore chains providing a month of prescriptions to customers whose proof of insurance is in limbo. (Breitbart went so far as to suggest that Walgreens and Walmart might be offering that customer service in order to do data mining for Uncle Sam.)
As it turns out, these furious conservatives are suffering from a particularly acute case of selective amnesia. Just eight years ago this week, the calamitous launch of President Bush's Medicare prescription drug program left over six million previously insured seniors without coverage. Hundreds of thousands more could not get their medications as problem-plagued government computer systems, confused insurers, and undertrained pharmacists left subscribers panicked and helpless. But unlike today's sabotage of the Affordable Care Act by Republicans in Congress and in the states, Democrats at all levels helped the Medicare Rx program whose design they opposed.
As the Washington Post reported in January 2006:

Two weeks into the new Medicare prescription drug program, many of the nation's sickest and poorest elderly and disabled people are being turned away or overcharged at pharmacies, prompting more than a dozen states to declare health emergencies and pay for their life-saving medicines.

^ You dun read so good bro.

What Michael Moore REALLY said about Obamacare and the ACA is that it's a small step in the right direction but doesn't go far enough. Why not quote the actual article instead of a partial and misleading title?

Mr. Moore said Obamacare was better than nothing in terms of overhauling the nation’s health care industry — and was actually a “godsend” for those who faced loss of coverage.
But instead of taking “a victory lap,” those of progressive political minds should instead keep on fighting for “what we deserve: universal health care,” akin to what Vermont will implement in 2017, he said, in his op-ed.

Haven't you noticed that the politicians attacking veteran benefits are the same politicians who are attacking Obamacare?

So far, 24% of the 2.2 million people enrolled in Obamacare are between ages 18 to 34. Think young healthy people don't need affordable health insurance? Think again!

According to Rooters, the new private health plans available under Obamacare drew in fewer young and healthy Americans than needed for the administration to make healthcare reform a market success in the first wave of enrollment, an official report showed on Monday.

"Twenty-four percent of the 2.2 million people who signed up for private coverage between October 1 and December 28 belonged to a target audience of 18- to 34-year-olds, according to the first administration report to provide a demographic breakdown on enrollment in the new plans offered under President Barack Obama's healthcare law."

That's a given that Obamacare will help out folks like that poor boy who lost his leg + others with pre-existing aliments although, this massively badly-written piece of legislation is hurting more people than it's helping.

America was supposed to be a Democracy but it's not one with the implemintation of this train wreck. Needs a major restructuring like not fining folks for not sighing up for one...

Hurting more people than it's helping?

Have you got any facts or figures to support that or are you just repeating the bullshit that comes out of the right wing fever swamp?

    Wrong again.

The GOP repair to Obamacare will include pre-existing conditions.

This old saw of yours doesn't work either.

Remember, you yourself posted on the other thread that people can opt out of Obamacare.

BTW, where are the cheaper, better health care plans for young people you were touting?

    Obamacare's Broken Promises

President Obama said if anyone misrepresented what was in Obamacare, "We will call you out." Mr. President, we're calling you out.

    Back to you...

C'mon Boontard, as much as you and your fellow Teaderthal RethugliKKKans want Obamacare to fail you've got to face up to reality and recognize it's turned the corner and headed for success.

You ain't gonna frikkin' believe this!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the Congressional Budget Office report that shows Obamacare will make the labor force lose 2.3 million full-time workers by 2021 is positive because it lets Americans be “free agents.

The PJ Tatler Reid: Obamacare Doesn’t Cost Jobs, It Turns Workers Into ‘Free Agents’

Yeah, man, keep 'em poor and on welfare so they're easier to control...

    ...real success - NOT

    What's next? Outright threats?

^ Those are not lost jobs. The employers are not eliminating the positions. People do not have to work shit low paying jobs just to have health insurance. That is improving the quality of peoples lives. Something the right wing loons could give a shit less about. Unless it is the lives of the mega-rich.

2.3 million full-time jobs eliminated sure sounds like a bunch of lost jobs to this poster.

But then again, not viewing the situation thru the progressive prism where up is down. etc...
