    Hamas and israel agree

Sadly they both want a one state solution.

Those who want a home for Christian Bhai amd Muslim Palstinians and Jewish anti Zionists who want an end to violence, illegal occupations attacks on civilian shipping are being ignored.

I see little prospect of peace across the region until this issue finds a compromise via talks which can only move forward after a cease fire.

Does anyone have a viable outcome?

Sadly no, not unless/until both sides are willing to compromise.

I just posted facts. Facts that you do not like, since you were pushing dumb propaganda talking points. Open air prison, my ass. A prison with a luxury car dealership, for starters...

    Snubby's posts: facts.

Anyone with an opposing view: dumb propaganda.

Yet you're in the minority on these threads.

    Weird eh?

I couldn't care less. Lots of loons on this forum and it has always been that way.

The slogan "open air prison" is a catchphrase, a false talking point. Israel had not set foot in Gaza since 2005. It was not responsible for the internal economic situation there, that is entirely on HAMAS. That is a reality that you are in denial about. But you keep pushing those false narratives, Hal.

Oh, here is something that should be a surprise to no rational thinking person, Al Jazeera caught staging videos...

Let's pretend that BSnub is right and take this from another angle.

    What's next, BSnub ?

What'll be your next move, if you had a say ?

Saudi Arabia’s top envoy: No recognizing Israel without path to Palestinian state

Prince Faisal bin Farhan tells CNN the kingdom isn’t interested in rebuilding Gaza only to return to pre-Oct. 7 status quo in a way that sets up another round of fighting

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister said the kingdom will not normalize relations with Israel nor contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction without a credible pathway to a Palestinian state.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s remarks in an interview with CNN broadcast late Sunday were some of the most direct yet from Saudi officials. It puts them at odds with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has rejected Palestinian statehood and described plans for open-ended military control over Gaza.

The dispute over Gaza’s future — coming as the war still rages with no end in sight — pits the United States and its Arab allies against Israel and poses a major obstacle to any plans for postwar governance or reconstruction in Gaza.

Before the October 7 Hamas attack that triggered the war, the US had been trying to broker a landmark agreement in which Saudi Arabia would normalize relations with Israel in exchange for US security guarantees, aid in establishing a civilian nuclear program in the kingdom, and progress toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In September, Netanyahu had said Israel was “at the cusp” of such a deal, which he said would transform the Middle East.

In the interview with “CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS,” the host asked: “Are you saying unequivocally that if there is not a credible and irreversible path to a Palestinian state, there will not be normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel?”

“That’s the only way we’re going to get a benefit,” Prince Faisal replied. “So, yes.”

EU pushes for Palestinian statehood, rejecting Israeli leader’s insistence that it’s off the table

BRUSSELS (AP) — European Union foreign ministers argued Monday that the creation of a Palestinian state is the only credible way to achieve peace in the Middle East, expressing concern about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s clear rejection of the idea.

“The declarations of Benjamin Netanyahu are worrying. There will be a need for a Palestinian state with security guarantees for all,” French Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Sejourne told reporters in Brussels, where ministers met to discuss the war in Gaza.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz and Palestinian counterpart Riad Malki were also in Belgium’s capital for the talks. The issue of Gaza’s future has set Israel in opposition to the United States and its Arab allies who are trying to mediate an end to the fighting in the besieged Palestinian territory.

“Gaza is in a situation of extreme urgency. There is a risk of famine. There is a risk of epidemics. The violence must stop,” said Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, whose country holds the EU’s rotating presidency. Not all EU member countries agree on the cease-fire call.

Lahbib said a two-state solution was “the only way to establish peace in a durable way in the region.”

Israel appears far from achieving its goals of crushing Hamas and freeing the more than 100 remaining hostages. But Netanyahu rejects Palestinian statehood and seeks open-ended military control over Gaza.

The dispute over the territory’s future — with no end in sight to the war — poses a major obstacle to any plans for postwar governance or reconstruction.

The European ministers had wanted to hear about Israel’s plans for the future.

“Which are the other solutions they have in mind?” asked EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who chaired the meeting. “To make all the Palestinians leave? To kill off them?”

But Katz appeared reluctant to respond. He showed the ministers two videos: one about the creation of an artificial island off the coast of Gaza, the other a project for a rail linking the Middle East and India.

“I think the minister could have made better use of his time and focused on the deaths in Gaza,” Borrell said. Asked about persuading Katz of the merits of a two-state solution, Borrell conceded that “we weren’t able to get him to change his mind, but we weren’t expecting that.”

The Palestinian minister said a cease-fire is the most urgent need.

“We have to call collectively for a cease-fire. We cannot accept anything less,” Malki said.

He also called on the EU “to start contemplating sanctions against Netanyahu and others who are really destroying the chances for a two-state solution and for peace in the Middle East.”
