How did you manage all that and still find time for the Navy SEALs.

I assume you were a Navy SEAL, right?

Could be but the writing lacks FaRTs usual idiosyncratic style and raft of grammar and punctuation errors.

    Nope.

Apropos of that though, imagine if Trump and his Fox News echo chamber were actually held accountable for spreading lies and fake news.

Nah, Lulu can't even try to debate. The best he's got is gifs or ad hominem lies if he disagrees with anybody. At least this guy has an opinion and expresses it.

But someone is greening him, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that you're right.

Fox news via Shine is taking over the White House communications. Announcement next week. Have fun with this one.

It is fitting since Fox News is basically state media at this point. Drumpf turns on Fox and they tell him what to think.

Although you bring up a good point. Most of the anti American postings I read are from Brits or Aussies do they have Fox news there? CNN has a London edition and they have loony experts from obscure colleges in the UK discussing American politics which in my experience people from the UK or Australia know very little about American politics certainly not enough to discuss it intelligently on TV same thing with other subjects which seem to trip their triggers like gun control.

You'll never find me posting about Brexit. I don't know enough about it.

I've a feeling all the anti Trump stuff is just misplaced anti Americanism. Obama got a pass because he was black and Hillary would have got one too because she is a woman but after that it would be back to the same old rants. Fox gets the bad reviews because it tries to be pro Trump not because anything about their reporting style actually upsets anyone.

Since I don't like either party I can be impartial and informed and tell you that the average thoughtful American dislikes CNN as much as Fox. Fox News handily won the the February TV cable news ratings race. So I guess most Americans are not as anti Fox as I am.

Oh contraire Monsieur Mark. I cannot speak for Brits but I would imagine it is similair to Oz where we are inundated with American News. With Fox ABC CNN etc.
When the presidential election was on It felt like the election was in Oz, we were so saturated by the American election news. In my experience Australians are much more aware of American politics than vica versa. I also know who Paul Ryan and Nancy Polosi are and who Newt Gingrich was. Speaking of which could you name the current speaker of the Australian Parliament let alone a retired one? Most Americans in my experience struggle with the name of our Prime Minister.
Please do not think that Australians are anywhere near as ignorant of American politics as most Americans are of Australian politics. This is not a criticism of Our septic mates, just an observation.
I do agree with a much of what you say although I have spent the last few days in Pattaya and had the "privilege" of seeing Fox news in the hotel. Including the pleasure of listening to Hannity who I'm sure could find a way of blaming the democrats for Auschwitz. From what I saw it appears to me to be full of right wing opinion pieces that are classified (IMO wrongly) as news.
As much as I occasionally watch left wing programs in Oz to keep my eye on what idiocy the looney left are up to, Fox is essential watching to keep abreast of the troglodytes on the right. Now I no longer have access to Fox I will have to substitute it with Breitbart for the not so bright.

    Er.... what?

FNC reached 2.2 million average primetime viewers, compared to MSNBC’s 1.48 million and CNN’s 750,000.
You do know how many Americans there actually are, right?

Most Americans could not even tell you the name of your capital. I would be most of them would not even have an answer for you. Those that did would probably say it was Sydney.

Could you be more specific about what you agree with? He claims to be impartial but his posts actually expose him to be a far right tin foiled loon.

I am glad that you see it that way. Since you are an impartial outside observer your comments just reinforce what myself and many others have been saying for years. Imagine if you were a retiree who sat listening to that all day. The propaganda being drilled into your brain for hours. Pretty soon you will find yourself looking for horns on Obama and other loony behavior.

How many voting Americans watch Fox? "Our estimates imply that Fox News convinced 3 to 28 percent of its viewers to vote Republican. Now I know that is not as many as Comey convinced not to vote for Hillary but it's a bunch.

Fox is political as is CNN one must look at the voting habits of viewers to get the total message.

CNN does not selectively report the news and that is one of the biggest differences between the two channels. Anytime there is breaking news about Trump if it is negative Fox does not report it, almost never. But you do not want to debate do you Mark that is why you have most of the forum on ignore. You just want to spew your trash without any response. Your posts have confirmed more than once that you are not bipartisan nor independent.

    Oh fucking hell, another waffler.

Let me answer it for you.

    You said:

Fox's audience maxes out at 2.2 million.

There are approx 330 million Americans.

FFS even Alex Jones has 2 million listeners.

This is a very vocal minority, unfortunately they themselves can amplify their stupidity through social media.

THAT'S where the damage is being done.

Some things are measured in total numbers. Not the American Presidential race nor the news ratings race. CNN had a million watchers and Fox had 2 million. Old white guys vote and watch Fox news. Young white Brits who live in Thailand don't vote or watch Fox. Does that clarify the issue for you? It is like if you have a good eating experience at a restaurant you will tell 1 person. If you have a bad experience you will tell 8 people.

Not all of us. I can't stomach watching any US "News" network. Agendas and propaganda 24/7...

“I now believe that television itself, the medium of sitting in front of a magic box that pulses images at us endlessly, the act of watching TV, per se, is mind crushing. It is soul deadening, dehumanizing, soporific in a poisonous way, ultimately brutalizing. It is, simply put so you cannot mistake my meaning, a bad thing.” ― Harlan Ellison, Strange Wine

I don't have a TV. Buying one is not on my list of things to purchase.

I don't think you understand the medium. Hillary didn't and that's why Trump won even though he is such an odd fellow. Actually the guy who takes the bottles out of my trash would have also won. Ofcom said UK adults spend an average of eight hours and 41 minutes a day on media devices and almost four hours a day are spent watching TV.

What is the point of complaining about a medium that has taken over humanity. It is like complaining you have to breath air for all the good it will do you. It's just silly.

The Democratic party showed it's ignorance by running a candidate that was so unsuited for TV. Better than complaining it would be productive to realize the media is the message and get on board and try to understand what every human child understands by 4 years old today.

During the campaign I did an experiment asking 6 Thai children who they liked better Trump or Hillary during the debates. Trump won hands down. It is this kind of basic reasoning that made Trump win and Fox support him.

I do know people who love riding horses but few are as backward as your views on the media to suggest horses are better than cars for transportation.
