Heh...Obama's Press Flack Can't Take the Heat!
Fox News National Security Correspondent James Rosen put in an appearance at Thursday's White House Daily Briefing to engage Press Secretary Jay Carney on the topic of Republican Congressional investigations into Benghazi. Carney, who has been increasingly eager to call out what he sees as partisan questioning, accused Rosen of "creating an exchange for Fox," to which Rosen shot back "what we are engaged in here is for the record, not for Fox."
Rosen, who was the subject of Justice Department subpoenas in the leak investigation into then-State Department contractor Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, is not a regular at White House briefings, but joined network-mate Ed Henry Thursday in order to question Carney about Benghazi. The nearly ten-minute exchange ended with a persistent Rosen being told "I think we're done here, James" by Carney as he exited the briefing room."
Funny how Benghazie-Gate just won't go away?
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
What is funny is that you omitted the part of the article that shows that fox news is biased. More of your typical BS. Here is the rest of the article;Originally Posted by Boon Mee
While Rosen is correct that everything in the White House briefings is “for the record,” Carney’s also correct, in that if the point was simply to get Carney on the record, Ed Henry could as easily have asked the same questions. It’s also true, though, that most TV reporters’ questions are at least partially for the purpose of creating clips for use in news programming, which is why you’ll often hear very similar questions asked five or six times at each briefing. All of these exchanges are “created” for some TV network.
However, Carney’s broader point appears to be that the issue of Congressional investigations into Benghazi has been covered by Fox News in much greater proportion than other outlets, and that Rosen’s line of questioning was tailored to that editorial sensibility, and to that audience.
Nice try.

what's even funnier, IMO, is that these rubes never learn.
in the real world, there is no benghazi "scandal".
the only people who think there is a scandal are fox viewers....because fox is continually pushing the story. give roger aisles sodium pentothal and i'd bet he would tell you he knows there's nothing to it and that he's doing it for ratings.
a short list of some of the lies / stories which fox has pushed over the last couple of years that came to nothing:
death panels
fast and furious
solyndra
irs
the polls are biased and romney is going to win the election
the govt shutdown / obamacare
the republicans have controlled the house since 2010...but no one in the administration has resigned due to the investigations....christ, the house isn't even holding hearings on these "issues" anymore... but the rubes buy into it and just keep get played again and again.
You can bet your bottom dollar when these events occur, Fox News will be the first & foremost News gathering organization to report on them:
Documentary: It Can’t Happen Here The Roots of Tyranny
This video is for all those who imagine that there is some sort of magic that renders the United States immune to the tyranny that has plagued every other major empire in history.
^ Dude, just suffered through the first 90 seconds of this drivel and I could swear the narrator is talking about Ted Cruz...
He's gotten to where he is by-
Exploiting Tea Party idiots.
Proclaiming that his intentions are noble.
Wants "fairness" for the people. (Because health care reform is so flippin unfair)
Seizing power and control of the United States House of Representatives (didn't work out too good for him in the end tho, did it?)
But of course he only appeals to a small lunatic fringe, a fringe that is reviled by most of the country, so I don't think we really have to worry about Raf becoming a tyrant just yet
Hahaha, Megyn's expression when she had Palin on last night is priceless!
I think Megyn Kelly's internal monologue was something like, "Did she have a stroke? I hear words, but they don't make any sense. Did I have a stroke!?"
Palin must have been drunk out of her skull or hopped on Oxy or something, it's hilarious:
She's like a Right Wing talking points Pez dispenser: doesn't matter what the question is the same shit comes out.
Did you notice the trailer trash actually said "express themselves more articulately"? Anyway, what the matter with the stupid music on Foxnews all day long? Did they merge with MTV?
Would make her a perfect candidate for membership here, no?Originally Posted by quimbian corholla

How the hell someone with the glazed look of and less sense than a barbie doll can possibly attain the dizzy heights of a state governor, well only in america perhaps.
Are Alaskans aware of what lies out there in the real world? I mean has televised broadcasts actually reached that deserted outpost? Who did she have to sleep with to get the nomination one wonders?
No offence but I suspect a performing seal would have been a better prospect than that dummy.

So House Republican spouts shit, as Carney points out right at the beginning, Fox reporter spouts more shit based on his comments, and Carney reminds him that the briefings are for the whole Press Corps, not Fox nonsense.Jay Carney Accuses Fox News' James Rosen of 'Creating an Exchange for Fox' on Benghazi
And you wonder why he didn't bother listening any more?
Watch the other reporters - chatting to each other, having a snooze, reading their emails.
God they must get bored listening to Faux News reporters. Doesn't look like any of them are even writing things down. I bet they were ecstatic that Carney cut him off.
That's kind of offensive to performing seals, at least they don't quit half way through the show.Originally Posted by Mr Lick

Inside the Fox News lie machine: I fact-checked Sean Hannity on Obamacare
Full story: Inside the Fox News lie machine: I fact-checked Sean Hannity on Obamacare - Salon.com
And a related NY Times Op/Ed:
Lies, Damned Lies, and Fox News
The other day Sean Hannity featured some Real Americans telling tales of how they have been hurt by Obamacare. So Eric Stern, who used to work for Brian Schweitzer, had a bright idea: he actually called Hannity’s guests, to get the details.
Sure enough, the businessman who claimed that Obamacare was driving up his costs, forcing him to lay off workers, only has four employees — meaning that Obamacare has no effect whatsoever on his business. The two families complaining about soaring premiums haven’t actually checked out what’s on offer, and Stern estimates that they would in fact see major savings.
You have to wonder about the mindset of people who go on national TV to complain about how they’re suffering from a program based on nothing but what they think they heard somewhere. You might also wonder about what kind of alleged news show features such people without any check on their bona fides. But then again, consider the network.

No you don't. They're like Boon Mee, they listen to Fox's shit and believe everything they see.You have to wonder about the mindset of people who go on national TV to complain about how they’re suffering from a program based on nothing but what they think they heard somewhere.
It so neatly captures the Republican mindset, it should be made into a billboard and posted across the country.
"My healthcare is going to suck under Obamacare!"
"Have you checked?"
"No and I'm not going to because then I'd have to use Obamacare!"
"So you're a retard?"
"Yes, and proud of it!"
A very important question, over looked by most, but the answer to it demonstrates why the media is the whipping boy of big business.
Advertising. Simple as they. They need the big corp money to survive, so now they will not report stories, or at least negative stories, about their sponsors. He who pays the piper picks the tune, more or less.
Oh, and Fox is dreadful, but no more dreadful than all of the others. Basically reporting is dead and has been replaced by propaganda and opinion pieces by government and corporate lackies - real reporters, once found out that they are actually reporting, are usually fired. The worst one in the world though is the BBC because at least on the channels with adverts you can see why the story about Coke causing droughts and famine in India is not appearing when during the advert break they are he principal advertiser. The BBC is more cynical than that; cleverer.
It's disingenuous to even call FOX "news" a news organization anymore. It is a straight up propaganda mouthpiece for the Republican party.
FOX's right wing bias, and ongoing deceit and blatant lies have have been documented and exposed countless times and have been the subject of multiple documentaries.
This is one of the best:
Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism
Oh it is, because it feeds on WASP fear and xenophobia. Only today they are doing a special on some "We hate Muslims" film, which of course might actually have some useful message about some shady muslim groups, but which by the time Fox have finished lathering on the innuendio will have all the rednecks leaping from their recliners to shout something abusive about "them damn A-rabs!".
Like all Murdoch media, it's all tits, arse and kneejerk.
And I include The Times in that, he's fucking ruined it.
Well, it's not like a lot of unbiased, objective-thinking people haven't been saying this since 2008, eh?
Tonight in his Talking Points Memo FOX News host Bill O’Reilly accused Democrats of pushing communism on America.“Here comes Socialism… Obamacare is just part of the strategy of the forced sharing of American assets… It’s a socialist-communist vision that the state should provide all citizens a certain lifestyle, at the expense of other citizens. If healthcare was a constitutional right then everything associated with health would fall into the civil rights category. That’s a form of communism.“Yes it is, Bill. Yes it is...
zxc
Complete nonsense of course from O'Reilly. It's all about choices and for those who can't afford private medical care (and lets be honest here, few people outside the comfort zone can), another option has come onto the market. It's not compulsory, it's freedom of choice.
Communism? o'really O'Reilly? I just bet he wishes he could blame some of the 17 trillion debt on ACA.
Can't they just read the news and not offer an opinion? They are selling their soul to sponsors, nothing new i suppose if you have no shame or desire credibility, just a large bank balance.
O'Reilly is a joke. Most of his show is vacuous soundbites interspersed with blatant commercials for his books and personal appearances.
Did I mention that I am disappointed with Michelle Malkin for not wearing a skimpy skirt like all the other Fox ladies? Come on Michelle, show us your Fox news value!

FOX News' Sean Hannity Can't Be Bothered With the Truth
Kevin Drum
This is hilarious in a pathetic kind of way: last Friday, Sean Hannity invited three "regular families" onto his show to relate their horror stories about premium hikes and business-killing regulations under Obamacare. Eric Stern decided to call all three of them to find out what was really going on.
Answer: nothing. One of them was apparently just lying, and the other two hadn't even checked the exchanges, where they would have found that they could get better coverage for considerably less than they're paying now.
That's just sad. Hannity runs a big-time show with well-paid producers, but they apparently couldn't find even a single true example of someone who got screwed by Obamacare. How hard can that be? Even liberals acknowledge that some people will end up worse off. But Hannity's staff couldn't be bothered. I guess he figures his audience doesn't really deserve any better.
