    Right-wing domestic terrorists

Right-wing extremist groups may be using the recession and the election of the nation's first African-American president to recruit members, a Department of Homeland Security report contends.
so says a report initiated during the GWB administration.

and when women's health care professional, dr. george tiller was murdered at his church last week, it was quickly assumed that he was simply a religious nut. while he is likely a religious nut, he's also got something in common with the tea baggers.

Yet more details about the extremist background of Scott Roeder, the suspect in the George Tiller murder.
USA Today reports that Roeder "called himself a citizen of the Republic of Kansas who didn't want to pay income or Social Security taxes or register his car.
the right-wing propagandists like limbaugh, o'reilly, and 'savage nation' host michael savage have a lot to answer for because they're ginning up this hatred and inciting the violence.

in fact, it's made it's way onto TD. just a few weeks ago, a poster in issues stated that she wanted to shoot dr. tiller and secretary of health and human services.

Man arrested, accused of threatening to kill Obama

A man accused of making threatening statements about killing President Obama has been arrested in Nevada, the Secret Service said Saturday.

Daniel James Murray was arrested Friday night in the parking lot of the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, said Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley.

Murray recently withdrew $85,000 from a bank in St. George, Utah, in two separate visits and told a teller, "We are on a mission to kill the president of the United States," according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court in Utah.

According to the complaint, Murray opened an account at Zions First National Bank on May 19 with an $85,000 check.

"With all this mess going on under President Obama with banks and the economy, I'm sure if citizens happen to lose their money, they will rise up and we could see killing and deaths," he said, according to the complaint.

On May 27, he returned to the bank and tried to withdraw $12,000, but lacked proper identification.

"Not to be disrespectful, but if I don't get this money, someone is going to die," Murray said, according to the complaint.

A bank manager was summoned and Murray was allowed to withdraw the money without proper identification.

Murray would not accept a check and demanded bills no larger than $50, the complaint says.

"We are 94 million miles from the sun, and are in-between the sun and moon, and the eagle that flies between them and it's a giant step for mankind. ... I have traveled thousands of miles to be here and know things that are going to happen. ... the banking system will fail and people will die. ... there will be chaos in the world," Murray said, according to the complaint.

He then made his threat against the president, the complaint says.

There have always been these extreme Right wing nutters- the 'freemen', survivalists and so forth. Or religious nutters- killing Gynaecologists in the name of God or (preferably) committing mass suicide in Jonestown.

They've gotten more noisy lately- part of this is just the Internet, and it's propensity to spread the most extreme stuff. The other part is the near calamitous failure of the Neo-cons and it's failed version of 'pax americana' at the point of a gun. I suppose for people that bought that vision it is a blow to their self image, and ultimately self esteem.

Rubbing salt in the wound is that the incumbent President, who was voted in on a considerable wave of momentum- carrying both houses of Congress too- is not only Democrat, but Black! At the nutter end, there is definitely an ugly undercurrent of racism about this.

911 somewhat upstaged him, but that Timothy nutter who blew up a government building in Oklahoma with a fertiliser bomb was Americas worst domestic terrorist until 2001. He was some far Right freak too.

This is truly low on the part of ray. I've seen this argument posted elsewhere so I realize you're merely the messenger, a stooge, for some blog, actively participating in this political ploy. Using the actions of a crazy person to quell free speech, you should be ashamed. Using the actions of weak-minded people, of criminals to collectively punish and silence the many, it's insidious. Using terror to shut people up. Yet another example of rays fundamentalism and anti-intellectualism. What's on your latest list of books to be burned, ray?

No more illegitimate than using the fact that Obama sat on a charity committee with some guy who had been with the Weather Underground thirty years before to imply that Obama was a Terrorist sympathiser. Thats Politics baby!

Yeah, but ray is seeking to inhibit people's Constitutional rights. The other was seeking to defeat a political opponent.

What were Ayers and Obama up to? Ayers had lined up the grant money but being who he was he needed a front man. Obama, black Harvard graduate, was perfect. Nobody was going to confront Obama with allegations of mismanagement of funds. If you read the Chicago Tribunes reports you'll get an idea of what they were up to. The money was intended to, in a method outside the public school system, improve the grades of students. Ayers used the funds to create community organizations who then pressured the school administration to meet their desires. Obama used it to to build a political organization to be used for his political ambitions. Selfish pursuit. Their own reports concluded the programs did not effect any positive gain in children's grades and that the emphasis was too heavily weighted on community organization with insufficient educational expertise.

According to CAC’s own report: “There were no statistically significant differences in student achievement between Annenberg schools and demographically similar non-Annenberg schools. This indicates that there was no Annenberg effect on achievement.”

A series of critical evaluations point to reasons for that failure, including a poor strategy, to which the foundation over-committed in 1995 ( meaning they blew the money as fast as they could up front before anyone could put a stop to it. It is reported on page 2 of the National Review online report that the CAC was forced to
restructure the relationship between the CAC board [Obama]and the Collaborative [Ayers]after 1995), and over-reliance on community organizers with insufficient education expertise. (Where were the teachers?)

^I wouldn't associate with Ayers. The association to me indicates Obama was comfortable with Ayers actions, especially since Ayers is so arrogant about what he did. It's not like Ayers has repented quite the opposite. He brags he got off. He likes the radical image he presents. Bored rich liberals lap it up. They like associating with a dangerous man. I wonder if Obama asked him to church and asked him if he wanted to repent for his sins?

"Prof. ayers" Haha! Go ahead ray post the "despite all evidence to the contrary" evidence. For clarification I meant to say National Review Online not the Chicago Tribune. The Chicago Tribune articles help strengthen the picture that his mother was a communist and his maternal grandfather was a communist too. His father was a communist too. That's why he was very careful in his Cairo speech to say, "But my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims." His father wasn't Muslim. He was a communist.

Why is it acceptable when right-wing knuckle-draggers come up with their wild ideas and statements, yet the opposite is not accepted.
It's obvious that the neo-cons are good at street fighting, verbally, but that's all they can do . . . not providing alternatives.

here's just another example of an unhinged tea bagger....

An Oklahoma City man who announced on Twitter that he would turn an April 15 tax protest into a bloodbath was hit with a federal charge of making interstate threats last week, in what appears to be first criminal prosecution to stem from posts on the microblogging site.

Daniel Knight Hayden, 52, was arrested by FBI agents who identified him as the Twitter user CitizenQuasar. In a series of tweets beginning April 11, CitizenQuasar vowed to start a “war” against the government on the steps of the Oklahoma City Capitol building, the site of that city’s version of the national “Tea Party” protests promoted by the conservative-leaning Fox News.

“START THE KILLING NOW! I am willing to be the FIRST DEATH!,” read a tweet at 8:01 PM that day. “After I am killed on the Capitol Steps, like a REAL man, the rest of you will REMEMBER ME!!!,” he added five minutes later. Then: “Send the cops around. I will cut their heads off the heads and throw the[m] on the State Capitol steps.”

    http://teakdoor.com/us-domestic-issu...tml#post799103

you'll see that Obama and Ayers had a relationship which carried over years.

This is an article from an series of articles investigating the Ayers/Obama relationship. The National Review is a periodical founded by William F. Buckley Jr. It is not some obscure blog site. You guys say Ayers and Obama only met nine times. Your information comes from the Obama campaign. That's kind of like quoting from a biased blog site don't you think? Obama is counting the board meetings where Ayers appeared before Obama's branch of the operation in an official capacity. What about all the other meetings? The telephone calls and the e-mails? Ayers was responsible for the educational projects and Obama was responsible for the distribution of funds. He doled out the cash. Those two never talked? What about the times when Obama appeared before Ayers' branch of the operation? Or the board's Governance Committee? Ayers and Obama were also part of a group of four instructed to draft the bylaws that would govern CAC. How many meetings were there to draft the by-laws?

On December 21, 1997, Barack Obama wrote a short review of William Ayers’ book A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court, which had recently been published by Beacon Press. Here’s a photo of how the review appeared in the Chicago Tribune:
