The CIA Just Declassified the Document That Supposedly Justified the Iraq Invasion

As usual a typical crock of shit from you. I am assuming you are using this "article" from the idiot David Horowitz to justify the invasion of Iraq?

Yes of course you are. As usual with right wing liars the article omits the key reasons that America invaded Iraq. It was well known that Saddam had sarin and mustard gas as he used it on the Kurds. That was never in question. So that right there shows the deception of the article you linked. Those alone would not be adequate to justify an invasion.

    Here is the faulty intelligence that really led us to invade Iraq;

"Congress eventually concluded that the Bush administration had "overstated" its dire warnings about the Iraqi threat, and that the administration's claims about Iraq's WMD program were "not supported by the underlying intelligence reporting." But that underlying intelligence reporting — contained in the so-called National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) that was used to justify the invasion — has remained shrouded in mystery until now."

Bathhouse Obomba just personally removed from the TTP a section that stopped any country becoming a member of that horrendous agreement that uses literal slavery. Obomba therefore is PRO slavery.

    Nice. he's a scumbag.

Brazil is an absolute bastion of personal freedoms compared to the good 'ol USA.

I'd be living there in a NY millisecond if not for the only other country that ranks just as high - LOS

Brazil is a democray in progress. Lots of poverty. Lots of corruption. Since you boys think American businesses should stop doing business there and our government should treat them as a pariah state what reforms would you learned gentlemen suggest before we show their leaders a modicum respect when they make a state visit?

You haven't a clue (as usual) to what yer blabbing on about. Nowhere has this poster advocated not doing business with Brasil - don't put words in folks mouths, eh?

I lived there for 6 years before they voted (mistakenly) in a Socialist government and prices on goods were affordable. Today, to pay for the socialist dream there's riots against Delima Rousseff on a regular basis.

But Brasil is a democray(sic) in progress and as Charles de Gaulle so famously said: "Brasil is the country of the future and always will be"

    Ooh! I know this one!

Unlimited tax cuts for the rich and stop using that term "American business".

"Job Creators" is the new preferred vernacular, and if they can figure out a way to screw workers out of health care, a liveable minimum wage and post Victorian-era labour conditions then so much the better.

PM me for details of how to donate to my SuperPAC or else just write in 'slackula 2016!'; Reagan taught us deficits don't matter, Cruz is explaining why the Constitution can be ignored at whim (so snooks to the Birthers) and I'd make a better civil engineer than Piyush "Berms" Jindal.

VP slot is still open and I really need to work on my minority and wimmins outreach so I'm thinking Boon "Michelle O is a stupid [at][at][at][at]" Mee or his beard will do fine.

What? Not even when the US government was considering using Ex-Im to finance the purchase of American goods and services by PetroBras?

Are you sure that you never criticized that by wittering about drilling in the Gulf of Mexico instead or something?

Booners will be along in a minute to set you straight. He is an expert on 'Brasil" having lived there for six years. And I'm sure he will answer in Portugese too as an added bonus.

By the way please direct your questions on Thailand to me. I have lived here for 15 years.

So what's the beef here? Cannot make sense of Quivering Toyota's mess or yours, Bert? Something about Petrobras?

Yes, they are the country's national oil firm and have a monopoly there in Brasil. They also drill in the GOM - so?

A slip of the tongue? Well, he seemed to read it carefully, deliberate, and then go forth and announce that yes indeed the US are arming and training ISIL fighters. But of course, everyone knew that anyway including those head in the ground flag wavers who do know this is the case, but hope so much that it is not.

Even when you couldn't believe the magnitude of destruction Obama has wrought to America along comes another revelation, eh?

Well not so sure - he clearly reads it, checks it, then says it. Why? Because it is TRUE.

    Wowbama

I had written off the second term Obama administration as a lame duck, for reasons given below- but recent events have changed my mind. A good article and analysis, I thought:-

Obama's Recent Victories: How and Why?

It would have been difficult, after the 2014 elections, to imagine that President Barack Obama could achieve much of anything in his last two years in office. After all, the opposition Republican Party had taken control of both houses of Congress in the midterm elections in 2014. The Supreme Court, led by the right-leaning Chief Justice John Roberts, maintained a narrow conservative majority. And the president's approval rating had dropped below 50 percent -- in and of itself not so surprising for a president in his second term but a significant obstacle for a leader hoping to marshal public support for his agenda.

And yet here we are, only a few months after the new Congress took up residence on Capitol Hill, with a suddenly resurgent president. Just in the last few weeks, President Obama has been scoring a surprising number of domestic and foreign policy victories. His critics are cowed. The president reached a 50 percent public approval rating for the first time since May 2013.

... the Supreme Court gave the president a clear victory on the Affordable Care Act
... We have made our union a little more perfect," the president said after the Supreme Court extended the right to same-sex marriage to all 50 states.
... This week, Iran and the P5+1 (the UN Security Council permanent members plus Germany) are hammering out perhaps the most important agreement on non-proliferation since the end of the Cold War. The agreement, in addition to freezing Iran's nuclear program, will likely usher the country back into the international community.
... also the rapprochement with Cuba

... He can win on these key issues when U.S. public opinion goes his way. Polls have shown that the American public supports Obamacare, gay marriage and rapprochement with Iran and Cuba. The president has been able to score these late victories not by working with the opposition but by isolating it.
... President Obama is not a radical. He generally situates himself in the political center... It is also a sign of Obama's centrism that most of the Democratic candidates for president are running to his left, particularly on economic issues.

Obama's Recent Victories: How and Why?[at]|[at]John Feffer

Of course, the Iran rapprochement deal has just been signed. Hats off to Barry.

when all the accomplishments are listed, it's undeniably a successful presidency.

shame he hasn't figured out a way to close guantanamo..although he's still got 16 months.
