Just come off the phone to my mother who was talking about the current issues in the UK. She has informed me 1000's are losing their pensions, and developers in South Yorkshire who build your average apartment are offering, buy 2 get 2 free as it is that desperate.

Has anyone heard anything similar?

jesus christ, If thats true I'm fuvcked, no one will give me a pension, my own country won't so I was hoping to emigrate to Pommy bastard land and pick one up there.

The estimate in the Daily Mail was that on average people lost 36,000 from their pensions each if it was invested in the stock market.

This was actually about 2000 quid a year. Still a lot mind.

Aust superannuation is the large turd floating in the pool which I have not seen mentioned in the Aust media
