Sarah Palin invited to share her unique way with words with legendary Cambridge debating society
Sarah Palin and Stephen Fry will be two of the star speakers at the Cambridge Union Society this Lent Term.
To celebrate its 200th anniversary, the debating society has released a sneak preview of the termcard – featuring Jon Snow, Stephen Fry, Inna Shevchenko and Sarah Palin,
The controversial American politician Sarah Palin, who was the first female Republican to be nominated for Vice Presidency, is expected to draw in crowds when she speaks on March 2.
Cambridge alumni Stephen Fry will finally return to the Union after three years away to participate in a debate on January 29.
Innan Shevchenko, the leader of international feminist movement FEMEN, will also speak at the Union on the February 26.
FEMEN activists have previously been labelled as 'sextremists' after carrying out topless demonstrations against patriarchy.
Award-winning journalist and Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow is set to speak at the Union on March 13.
Union President Amy Gregg said she was "pleased" to begin the year with "a diverse range of prominent speakers."
The termcard will be released in full tomorrow.

It's a shame Palin isn't debating Fry.
A French Fry or Stephen Fry? She might have a chance against a French Fry.Originally Posted by luckyjim

The take away will be for the left to be left shaking their heads in disbelief that such an idiot as Palin could get so close to the Whitehouse and for the right that she's a gutsy, heroic soccer mom valiantly standing up to the pointy-headed elitists at Cambridge in Ingerund!
She'll play the victim for all she can bilk out of it though so she'll make a tidy profit from being a repellant imbecile yet again.

RPETER65 and the rest of the hard-right wants to live in a massa paradise standing still and sniffing magnolias and drinking juleps and praisin' Jeebus while lashing Sambo on the plantations. Gross generalizations aside Sarah Palin and her ilk serve as an uncanny litmus test for things like this: The right claim the left is frightened of her old-time folksy gutsiness and the left say the right like her because she makes them feel OK about being dinosaurs pining for a lost 1950s America that never really existed.
