Show me where Chomsky has once been cited by a nobel prize winner in economics or a respected scholar in political science and maybe you would have something to support your position.

Insulting me may appeal to your fellow zealots, but it does nothing for those of us who are not blinded by politcal ideology.

Sorry, looks like the Chomsky supporters on this forum have run out of steam. They havn't posted anything but attempts to turn this into a name-calling personal battle with me. I ain't playing that game.

The supporters of Chomsky have no evidence, or even a logical argument, why they like this fraud so much.

Basically it comes down to this, Chomsky is a hypocrite, a liar, a fraud and filled with hatred, and his supporters feel a kinship with this type of man and therefore agree with this one-trick pony. It is obviously easier for the far left to just accept this single conculsion to every world problem that can not be changed than actually evaluating the evidence and THINKING!

After lurking for a while on this little schoolyard spat, here's my 5 cents.

Round 1: Chomsky fans have a backslapping party.
Round 2: AA joins the party and starts bursting their balloons.
Round 3: (somewhere between post 40 - 50), fairly reasonable discussion.
Round 4: AA getting a little snooty - implies (but doesn't directly say) that the Chomskies aren't too smart, and that he is some kind of hotshot academic.
Round 5: (post 50 - 70). The barbs fly in from both sides. AA cutting and pasting like a mad journalists assistant, and the Choms getting a little exasperated. This round culminates in the first direct insult from the Choms. Tactically this was a major mistake.
Round 6: AA climbs on his mountain of pastings and declares himself the winner.
Round 7: The Choms try to belittle this, but too late! The damage is done...

From that point on I kinda lost interest. It degenerated into mud slinging. I have to say all round that although the Choms did throw the first direct insult, it was preceded by some very unwarranted implied insults from AA (on the lines of insulting all lefties, all Chom fans etc.). Kinda sad to read all that.

All round I'd say the Choms got mugged by some very dubious arguments and then hit with a blizzard of cutn'paste nonsense.

My verdict: The match goes to AA, although he did use some dirty tricks.

FWIW - I don't like Chomsky much. He's a little naive - he should stick to linguistics.

Gullible and blinded by hatred is probably a better discription for most rather than being out and out stupid. I know many really bright people in everyday issues that get suckered by Chomsky and his kind, Chomsky is good. He knows how to play to people's basest emotions and hatred to allow them to accept irrational conclusions.

Because the Chomskyites are "stupid" on this issue doesn't make them stupid on every issue.
