This POS showed EXACTLY who he was by his tantrum during the hearings. A rich, entitled white boy that needs a horsewhipping. We don't need rapists or perverts on the Supreme Court. Merrick Garland should have been confirmed, but Mitch McConnell blocked his confirmation as a slap to Obama. Blue Wave is on the way. We need a full 16 years of Democrat hegemony before the amnesiac electorate allows another Republican to occupy the White House.

This quote from Neverna's article should explain it...
Mr Kavanaugh faced a choice. He chose to go with the establishment rather than stick up for his colleague. This proved good for his career. He took over the grand jury, by then a legacy showpiece. His treatment of my witness revealed his colours.

I reckon even if he was an alcoholic serial rapist he'll be confirmed eventually, if only because otherwise Trump would never live it down. Not impressed one bit with his performance but that doesn't make him guilty, and it doesn't matter anyway because the exercise was to sling mud and resist confirmation not with any serious thoughts of prosecution.
Disagree.
If a nominee for the SCOTUS is a liar, a sex-pest and a partisan hack with a drinking problem then it kinda matters.
A lot.
Even if you were right in that generalisation -- and I doubt that -- it still makes no difference to the fact that such people shouldn't be knowingly put into positions of power.Originally Posted by jabir

Probably the latter in some respects.
Longer tenure, less oversight, ability to shape and control policy beyond even those who create it.
Kavanaugh will get confirmed. The republicans can, and will, push him through. The investigation/delay/public scrutiny of his actions/activities are a diversion. Lets concentrate on the supreme court nominee and not on the politicians platform(s). Hmm... make the mid-terms about a supreme court nominee?
If the republicans push him through before the mid-terms, end-of-story, although that may be beneficial to the democrats as a political point prior to the polls. After the mid-terms occur, the repubs can confirm him before the electors are seated in January.
The only thing that will stop his confirmation is the discovery of, and proof, of criminal activity.
Trumps already stacked the deck with conservative judges. ref: POLITICS: 08/29/2018 01:39 pm ET Updated Aug 29, 2018 Democrats Just Confirmed Lots Of Trump’s Judges So They Could Skip Town, The resistance wilts in August. By Jennifer Bendery and Igor Bobic
WASHINGTON ― Senate Democrats just gave a huge gift to President Donald Trump: They agreed to expedite votes on 15 of his nominees to lifetime federal court seats because they wanted to go home.
Vote scheduled for 10:30 AM today. He will get confirmed. Flake, Collins and Murkowski will tow the party line.

IMO there's still a chance (however slight) that he won't get the votes.
dont think he will get the votes, his defense, not the crime, is what did him
