Its not so much about what Russia does, everyone knows its brutal.

Its more about pointing out hypocrisy where it is most evident and Russia doesn't pontificate about human rights to other countries same as it doesn't try to impose its version of 'democracy'.

Russia quacks, it is a duck.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Kittens has it ever occurred to you to wonder why the leftists and RINO are so eager to stir up hostilities with Russia?

    Not sure people do know.

Do you think the exposure of the prison torture problem will change anything? Do you think the system can become more kind?

    I do.

Could it happen that in the above sentence the "Russia's" would be replaced by "USA"?

Perhaps it has really happened: the leader of the facility in Bkk was promoted to the highest post of CIA - despite the complains from the citizens.

(It proves, everything can be explained and twisted, even in the public hearing - "you see how we are trasparent")
(Same like Tony Bliar dares to declare at the Kofi Annan's grave - and everybody's happy, the life goes on, however beware of Russians poisoning their spies)

Perhaps it happens that citizens in Russia complain about the torture of prisoners but nothing ever changes because “everyone knows it’s brutal.”

Is Russia really so brutal, Klondyke?

    very unlikely

what is quite amusing is the American audience's obsession with Russia... you think Russia is so bad because you're told to think it

surely if you want to be the judge of moral society Saudi Arabia would be a better place to start... doesn't get quite as much airtime though eh, or election rigging... how about Israel's influence in American politics... nope, not doing it for you.. get back to your cold war comfort zone

how about people that are not criminals being abused, tortured and murdered, and living in a state of constant fear in a country fully supported by your own... surely that is more newsworthy if you want to talk about the deeds of evil men

Russia is obviously guilty of some very nasty behavior.
We've known about it for some time. Read Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gulag_Archipelago
Maybe that should be required reading for US Marxist ideologue educators?

Should the US impose Tariffs and such? (Trump did that already)

Should the US cut off all dialogue?

Nuclear war between the two world's largest nuclear powers is such a good idea!

American leftist Marxist leaning educators running the US education system are really doing their best thinking on this.

Odd thread this innit. On one side we have a very sane minded Misskit and on the other we have a bizarre federation of brainwashed trumpanzees who are rubbing elbows with a Russian bot (Klondyke) and a brainwashed Putin knob gobbler (Neo). Repeatedly committing whataboutisms and posting that there is nothing to see here.

What a bunch of pathetic predictable numptys. Too stupid to realize you have been brainwashed into a bunch of useful idiots.

I think you missed the entire point of my post. That is not a surprise you have shown in your time on this forum that you are clearly not very bright. I hope you enjoyed the video because Cleese is talking about you. You just may well be too stupid to see it.

I don't think brutal regimes ease off when kinder people discover they're brutal. As the Argentinian general said when asked why so many people were disappearing, if they don't disappear I will.

    Well, you mentioned America.

Which has children imprisoned for Life Without Parole. (1 of only 2 countries in the World to do so)
Private prisons where the owners have paid judges to sentence children to long prison sentences for minuscule offences.
I'd be pretty amazed if there is a state that doesn't have a prison where the inmates are not tortured to some degree.
