I think once again that you have lost sight as to what the OP was about. To clarify it was about children being stripped out of the hands of their parents and being taken to concentration camps. You can lie to yourself all you want about these people being economic migrants but stripping children from a mothers arms is immoral plain and simple and that is what the OP was all about.

The U.N. human rights chief is blasting the Trump administration over its new policies separating migrant children from their parents after entering the United States from Mexico, saying they've affected nearly 2,000 kids in the last six weeks and put them a and put them at risk of "serious health consequences The High Commissioner for Human Rights (Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein) is calling for an immediate end to the practice.
it would seem that the only people putting the childrens lives at risk of serious health consequences are their parents when they bring them along as they attempt to enter a foreign country illegally. what do they expect, a lego set and a free pass to disneyland?

Zeid, a Jordanian prince, also raised concerns about countries including Syria, Myanmar, Hungary, Nicaragua, Israel, North Korea, and India- and Pakistan-controlled parts of Kashmir.
strange, but hardly surprising given his origins, that he fails to include the palestinians in his opprobium for the habit of sending their children to the gaza front line whenever they want to throw stones and petrol bombs across the fences into israel

That's VERY dramatic. Once again, tough shit. The parents made the choice to try to improve their chances by bringing the kids. You really are quite the bleeding heart, aren't you? You need to live for a few years in one of the many available shitholes of the world in order to broaden your perspective.

The bleeding hearts have a bovine army ready and waiting to get angry on command. They don't mind turning their heads away as tens of thousands of kids are being slaughtered in some hell hole, but a few they can get pics of are definitely worth bringing a gov down to save.

Worst of the lot are politicians that try to squeeze a few points from the blood of these kids they so dearly wish to help, just ahead of their sheep that queue round the block for their rightful dose.

Those are the exact same, hard-working Latinos, who stand-up, shoulder-to-shouldertogether with all other U.S. citizens, when called upon to do so.

People like the U.S.A.G. wouldn't have a clue, about those ^ Americans. Tragically many of those same (so-called "wet-back") American soldiers have made the ultimate sacrifice,

in their quest to ultimately become U.S. citizens. The U.S.A.G. should be ashamed of himself.

You need to broaden your own perspective, sir. The topic thread concerns the mistreatment of citizens from a neighboring North American country; not the many other shitholes around the world.

Mexico is not a shithole, and if you had ever spent any serious time there, then you would know that. For heaven sake, man, have some compassion. It costs you nothing to do so. Try it, you'll like it.

In addition, the real reason behind the new deportation policies, is the fact that the U.S. government is morally bankrupt; karmically falling apart, at the seams, and too far gone to recognize it.

Your's is a typically ignorant redneck's reaction, by taking a given scenario totally out of context. No surprise about that ^.

It's about the kids you piece of shit.

    These despicable kunts

Lawyers and medical providers visiting Rio Grande Valley shelters describe play rooms of crying preschool-age children in emotional crisis

Since the White House announced its zero tolerance policy in May, more than 2,300 children have been taken from their parents. Babies and toddlers are being held at tender age shelters.
Trump administration officials have been sending babies and other young children forcibly separated from their parents at the US-Mexico border to at least three “tender age” shelters in south Texas, it has emerged.

Lawyers and medical providers who have visited the Rio Grande Valley shelters described play rooms of crying pre-school aged children in emotional crisis. The Associated Press learned that the government also plans to open a fourth shelter to house hundreds of young migrant children in Houston, where city leaders denounced the move on Tuesday.

Since the White House announced its zero tolerance policy in early May, more than 2,300 children have been taken from their parents at the US-Mexico border, resulting in a new influx of young children requiring government care. The government has faced withering critiques over images of some of the children in cages inside US Border Patrol processing stations.

'Essentially summer camps': how the right is defending family separations
    Read more
Decades after the nation’s child welfare system ended the use of orphanages over concerns about the lasting trauma to children, the administration is starting up new institutions to hold Central American toddlers that the government separated from their parents.

“The thought that they are going to be putting such little kids in an institutional setting? I mean it is hard for me to even wrap my mind around it,” said Kay Bellor, vice president for programs at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, which provides foster care and other child welfare services to migrant children. “Toddlers are being detained.”

Bellor said shelters follow strict procedures surrounding who can gain access to the children in order to protect their safety, but that means information about their welfare can be limited.

By law, child migrants traveling alone must be sent to facilities run by the US Department of Health and Human Services within three days of being detained. The agency then is responsible for placing the children in shelters or foster homes until they are united with a relative or sponsor in the community as they await immigration court hearings.

But US attorney general Jeff Sessions’ announcement last month that the government would criminally prosecute everyone who crosses the US-Mexico border illegally has led to the breakup of hundreds of migrant families and sent a new group of hundreds of young children into the government’s care.

The United Nations, some Democratic and Republican lawmakers and religious groups have sharply criticized the policy, calling it inhumane.

Steven Wagner, an official with the department of health and human services, defended the shelters.
“We have specialized facilities that are devoted to providing care to children with special needs and tender age children as we define as under 13 would fall into that category,” he said. “They’re not government facilities per se, and they have very well-trained clinicians, and those facilities meet state licensing standards for child welfare agencies, and they’re staffed by people who know how to deal with the needs — particularly of the younger children.”

Until now, however, it’s been unknown where they are.
“In general we do not identify the locations of permanent unaccompanied alien children program facilities,” said agency spokesman Kenneth Wolfe.
The three centers — in Combes, Raymondville and Brownsville — have been rapidly repurposed to serve needs of children including some under 5. A fourth, planned for Houston, would house up to 240 children in a warehouse previously used for people displaced by Hurricane Harvey, Mayor Sylvester Turner said.

Turner said he met with officials from Austin-based Southwest Key Programs, the contractor that operates some of the child shelters, to ask them to reconsider their plans. A spokeswoman for Southwest Key didn’t immediately reply to an email seeking comment.

“And so there comes a point in time we draw a line and for me, the line is with these children,” said Turner during a news conference on Tuesday.
Doctors and lawyers who have visited the shelters said the facilities were fine, clean and safe, but the kids — who have no idea where their parents are — were hysterical, crying and acting out.
“The shelters aren’t the problem, it’s taking kids from their parents that’s the problem,” said South Texas pediatrician Marsha Griffin who has visited many.

Alicia Lieberman, who runs the Early Trauma Treatment Network at University of California, San Francisco, said decades of study show early separations can cause permanent emotional damage.

Those utterly despicable odious rotten to the core creeps Trump and co.
One thing, this may be the last straw. They have bared their rotten souls.

Don't try and defend the indefensible.
If the parents have broken the law then let them face whatever justice but there's no need to take the kids away from their parents.
Traumatizing children and putting them in internment camps is what the U.S. will be forever remembered for.
This is utterly sickening. Is the U.S. becoming the nazi state of the 21st century.
I can't believe some of you kVnts are trying to defend this.
“If we stop testing right now we’d have very few cases, if any.” Donald J Trump.

You're welcome. (Revenge reds are so mature don't you think.)
But come on, you can't defend ripping kids away from their parents. It's the kids who suffer the most and they had no say in the matter of breaking the law.
Ripping little kids, toddlers and babies from their parents and sending them to internment centers. WTF?
Why aren't you outraged. Let the parents face justice but at least leave the kids with them.
My father was ripped from his family by the Japs and sent to an internment camp in indonesia at age 10 and it caused him lifelong psychological damage.

Perhaps that's the reason why they withdraw?

US withdraws from UN Human Rights Council
Announcement by Ambassador Nikki Haley comes a month after body votes to probe killing of Palestinians in Gaza.

The United States has withdrawn from the United Nations' top human rights body accusing it of "chronic bias" against Israel, in a move that was criticised by human rights groups and described as regrettable by foreign leaders.

The decision to pull out of the UN Human Rights Council was announced on Tuesday by Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN.

"We take this step because our commitment does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organisation that makes a mockery of human rights," she said alongside US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington, DC.

Minutes later, Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein, the UN high commissioner for human rights, called the announcement by US President Donald Trump's administration "disappointing, if not really surprising".

"Given the state of human rights in today's world, the US should be stepping up, not stepping back," he added.

The European Union said the move "risks undermining the role of the US as a champion and supporter of democracy on the world stage", while British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson called it "regrettable".

On the other hand, Israel, a major ally of the US, praised Washington's "courageous" move.
