Just KJ trying to drive a wedge between SK and USA. The sanctions must be starting to bite. Reunification is as likely as Buriramboy and seekingasylum sitting down together for tea and scones while discussing the merits of Brexit.

Just five days before Japan surrendered, US officials Dean Rusk and Charles Bonesteel were given the task of delineating the US occupation zone in East Asia.

Without consulting any Koreans, they arbitrarily decided to cut Korea roughly in half along the 38th parallel of latitude, ensuring that the capital city of Seoul would be in the American section. Rusk and Bonesteel's choice was enshrined in General Order No. 1, America's guidelines for administering Japan in the aftermath of the war.

I think there is a great chance that North and South Korea will one day reunite.

They have so much in common, apart from the short fat dictator and his cronies.

They will never reunite! Not in my lifetime, although there was a very good video of a North Korea/South Korea breakdance off at the DMZ... Let me find it.

South Korea has a unification budget. Seems they are serious about unification with the north.

Winter Olympics 2018: South Korea to pay for North's delegation

South Korea has approved a plan to pay the cost of hosting North Korea's delegation to the Winter Olympics. The 2.86bn Korean won ($2.64m, 1.9m) will come from the South's unification ministry budget.

Why don't those NK arseholes pay for it themselves.

Oh....they're broke for the most part.

And SK can use this as a weak bargaining chip while NK has nukes.

Not entirely true: what about Granada, Panama, and perhaps few more (that I cannot find on the map)?
