Appears late vote counts coming in will make Dems happy. Even in historical red districts, Dems are doing well. Better than they have since Watergate. Not looking good at all for Republicans in 2020.

No it is not. The Midwest came back to the Democrats in a big way. They flipped 9 state governorship's and flipped 8 state governments as well. The fact that Democrats can run so close in GOP strongholds like Texas and Georgia is a sign of what is to come especially with how fast this demographic shift is happening. There was no way they could have done that even a few years ago.

Exactly. Don't we hear it with any new potential POTUS for how many years back? Especially Healthcare, important for many (please no names here), then they are happy for another 2 (4, 8) years, not much worry about other issues...

Judge Orders Review of All Provisional Ballots in Georgia Governor Race


A federal judge late Monday ordered the review of thousands of provisional ballots that haven’t been counted in Georgia’s tight governor race between Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Brian Kemp. Judge Amy Totenberg said the race cannot be officially certified until those ballots, believed to have been issued to as many as 27,000 voters, have been reviewed and counted. Abrams would need to gain more than 20,000 votes to force a runoff against Kemp. Judge Totenberg’s order also calls for a hotline for voters to check if their provisional ballots were counted, a review of voter registrations, and updated reports from the state government about why so many voters were required to use provisional ballots. The Georgia race has been beset with voter-suppression claims for weeks after a series of controversial moves by Kemp, who declined to step down as the top Georgia elections official—even though he was overseeing the election he was a candidate in.

There’s no evidence at all that they are, despite years of looking and years of rhetoric like Trump’s. There’s no evidence of rampant voter fraud in Florida in the wake of last week’s midterm elections, either, despite Trump’s tweets and commentary.

But there are particularly bad arguments for the existence of voter fraud, two of which Trump offered in an interview with the Daily Caller on Wednesday afternoon. The outlet’s Benny Johnson and Saagar Enjeti interviewed Trump in the Oval Office, and the conversation turned to the recount in that state.

Here’s the first claim Trump made, hoping to bolster his assertion that fraud is rampant: “When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

Here’s the second claim he made, hoping to bolster the idea that photo ID should be required at polling places: “If you buy a box of cereal — you have a voter ID. They try to shame everybody by calling them racist, or calling them something, anything they can think of, when you say you want voter ID. But voter ID is a very important thing.”

Whether he is or not this was still a resounding success for the Dems. Looks like 538 has them projected to take 39 house while losing only 2 Senate seats. Considering that the GOP had a favorable Senate map in this election I think we should just be happy all they got is two. In 2020 the favorable map switches to the Dems. So retaking the Senate then looks like a real possibility.
