i posted i didn't care one way or the other. and i really don't.

but what is curious to me is why someone who would make such a dramatic flounce from a forum would return to the very thread he flounced so dramatically from.

    but hey, whatever.

back on topic......what happened is that hillary lost....i wonder if/when trump is going to get over it.

you write that as if democrats controlled the legislative and executive branches of government since the 70s. which they didn't....not even close.

and bush 41 was desperate to sign nafta into law before he left office, but he ran out of time.

GHB signed it, but it will Bill Clinton that lobbied massively to get the Dem majority in Congress to pass it. Clinton was instrumental.

Remember Clinton using Al Gore in the NAFTA debate against Ross Perot.

that may all be true, but we're talking about 2016 and hillary was seen as another free trader who wouldn't take the working class into account when making trade deals while trump flat out said he'd pull out of tpp and he did.

of course, there are good arguments for joining the tpp (prevent more chinese influence in asia), but, IMO, hillary lost because the rust belt voters didn't trust her to have their backs and not because of all this russian conspiracy theory nonsense that hillary is still talking about to this day.

heard her go on about it and all the reasons she lost for an hour,

a couple weeks ago in one of my favorite podcasts "politics and more", presented by the new yorker magazine:

    https://itunes.apple.com/th/podcast/...=1000392987234

it was pitiful to hear he whine like that.

some on this thread say what the heck are you guys doing still talking about hillary, without acknowledging the fact that hillary's the one who's still talking, as it were.

Hillary Clinton just floated the possibility of contesting the 2016 election - CNNPolitics

But in an interview Monday with NPR's Terry Gross, Clinton raised that critique up a notch -- not only questioning the legitimacy of Trump's presidency but refusing to rule out the possibility of contesting the results if Russian collusion is proven by special counsel Bob Mueller.

"have no credibility" with whom, praytell?

the way you post that it sounds like you are proclaiming that raycarey has "credibility" while standing on the speakers' corner of teak door.

well, i guess, ray, that accomplishment will be in your obituary: "raycarey, a man who had great credibility on teakdoor.com where he contributed more than 10,000 posts".

There's this daily weekly radio show on BBC radio 4 called "Woman's hour" and the presenter Sue just loves Hiliary, so much so she's had her on the show for years and during the last US elections Sue plugged Hiliary to be the next female president. They where so confident of her win they even had a date after victory when she would soon appear on the show, and Sue could show off her new friend.
Monday the show starts and they announced that Hiliary was going to be on today's show.
At the end of the hour Sue ended the show with a fighting spirit, "Everybody's been stood up at sometime in their lives, Hiliary will be rebooked and she will appear on this show "
What went wrong, Sues buddy let her down today.

Now, I'm no fan of Hillary Clinton.

But I watched this unique Australian interview of her ... and enjoyed it thoroughly.

    Some promo clips ...

The Hillary Clinton I met in New York for our recent interview with Four Corners was an angrier, less guarded version of the
person we have come to know over her decades in public life.

I have been following Hillary Clinton's career since the mid-1990s as a journalist in Washington reporting on the first term of Bill Clinton's presidency.

The Hillary Clinton I knew then would not have said publicly she had been "shivved" by the former head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, James Comey.

She referred to Comey's handling of the investigation into her use of a private email server as secretary of state, in particular the letter written by
Comey days before the election re opening the investigation: "He did shiv me, yeah … we also know that opponents of mine, like former mayor Rudy Giuliani,
    knew something was coming.

"So there was clearly an effort to derail my campaign at the end."
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

She really is currently coming off as a sad, bitter old shrew. She lost through her own failures. Trump won, in part, because people hated her more than they feared him. She should just fade away....but she won't.

She's got a book to sell.

Although she should have called it "I fucked up".
