The awful tragedy is that Johnson has through an accident of lies, parody, exaggeration and mockery moulded in the British mind a national view of the EU that simply did not and does not exist in any reality but others have capitalised on this distortion and for their own ends have fostered perhaps the worst self-inflicted British socio-economic catastrophe in modern political history.
The irony is that BoJo, the unwitting architect of this shambles, is soon to be anointed its leader.
As somone observed, after two London mayorships, his legacy amounts to nothing other than a few toys most of which are broken.
Th Borisastrophe will be ruinous for Britain.
The only thing that might save the UK is the immediate death of Corbyn/McDonnell.
We need a miracle.
Incidentally, £ sterling now 39.05 baht which of course means the tourist rates in Thai banks will be offering 37.80 ish.
It just keeps on getting better and better.

It just doesn't seem like anyone else should be doing it, really, does it.
So let boris enjoy his few months in the sun, where he will soon redden and die politically.
I suspect even May will emerge with more credit in the end.
BoJo is the only hope, that Hunt dude seems to be another smarmy little politician fuck, will pull another May and probably a full revoke
BoJo might implode in mid flight, but at least he will go somewhere and force everyone to ask the tough questions before they all surrender to REVOKE, with one very tiny chance of some kind of Soft Brexit
BoJo is not PM yet, and he is already delivering in terms of entertainment
Boris Johnson defends Brexit plan and 'row' silence
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-48751527
Boris Johnson has admitted he would need EU co-operation to avoid a hard Irish border or crippling tariffs on trade in the event of no deal.
In an exclusive interview with the BBC, the favourite to be next prime minister said: "It's not just up to us."
But he said he did "not believe for a moment" the UK would leave without a deal, although he was willing to do so.
Asked about a row he had with his partner, he said it was "simply unfair" to involve "loved ones" in the debate.
Reports of the argument on Friday with his girlfriend, Carrie Symonds, dominated headlines over the weekend after the police were called to their address in London.
The interview comes after Sky News said it would have to cancel a head-to-head debate on Tuesday between the two leadership contenders as Mr Johnson had "so far declined" to take part.
Meanwhile, the other candidate, Jeremy Hunt has promised to boost defence spending by £15bn over the next five years if he becomes prime minister.
A plan full of ifs and buts
Mr Johnson's really controversial gamble is to say he could do a new trade deal with EU leaders before the end of October.
And he says he would be able to do that before resolving the most controversial conundrum - how you fix the dilemma over the Irish border.
He clearly believes he has the political skill to pull that off. He and his supporters would say that is a plan.
But it is a plan that is full of ifs and buts - either heroic or foolhardy assumptions to imagine that EU leaders and Parliament would be ready to back his vision - and back it by Halloween - on an extremely tight deadline.
The political pressure is on, not just to get it done quickly, but done in a way that does not harm our relations with the rest of the world and the livelihoods of people living in this country.
In terms of the controversies over his personal life, it is absolutely clear even now - when he is on the threshold of No 10 - that Boris Johnson thinks there are questions he simply does not have to answer.
And for a politician about whose character many people have their doubts, that is going to follow him around unless and until he is willing to give more.
likely this...

^ That was when I finally gave up on that thick fucking twat.
He has no understanding of history.
He lives in a vacuum.
Very bad for his lawn.
Just shows how thick he is then, not that that has ever been in doubt.

Come on Boris
nice youtube interview with BoJo
he doesn't sound fully confident when GATT options are being addressed as the Hard Brexit solution,
the problem is not the GATT, it's everything that is not in GATT but was addressed by the EU membership,
an impossible task, so he is going to face the same options as Doris come Oct 31
Wont be the same options as Doris as her deal is dead and off the table. This is presuming of course Boris wins, it's out of all EU institutions unlike Doris deal which kept us in near enough everything and some sort of trade deal in the future. Boris has dug himself into a corner with his comments re leaving on Oct 31 so at least a lot more chance of actually leaving now than under remainer Doris who just lied and lied and had no intention of ever taking us out.
That LBC is nice, should listen to it more often
I have to give it to you guys for having brilliant hard talk journalists who are not afraid to ask uncomfortable questions,
thank god they are there,
