Mind you, it was a controversial call...

Precisely, troubled minds have turned this into a right/left issue rather than right/wrong - what the people want vs what they don't want.

    Cue fufu/squirrel!

Brexiters and other EU exiters are by definition right wing, while pro-Europeans are generally centre-right to left wing

    why?

because right wingers are all about nationalism and sovereignty and cultural tradition

while left wings are all for world integration, progression, and a multicultural environment

The EE are meaningless ...because the EU is an undemocratic dictatorship right?

Or have Brexitears changed their pretty little minds about that?

    Exactly...

You do come out with the occasional gem, though it won't be down to May since she's already showed her dirty hand. But let's do hope our next glorious leader stops farting around and gets us out.

Your comrades say the EU is democratic, in fact one of the poor sods is struggling through life in a dreamlike state believing it's the most democratic outfit on the planet.

Not important or I wouldn't be asking you, but just to clarify is it or isn't it democratic, and iyeho does it promote democracy, fufu? Please keep in mind your mentor's admonition that only cnuts refuse to answer reasonable questions.

Who did you cast your vote for in the democratic election to elect your president of the EU?

Scotland's first minister calls for new independence vote before 2021

LONDON -- People in Scotland should be given the chance before 2021 to vote for independence from the United Kingdom, Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said in a major speech Wednesday.

Sturgeon made the call in a speech to the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood following the decision by the EU Council to extend Britain's membership of the bloc until Oct 31.

In her statement to MSPs (Members of the Scottish Parliament), Sturgeon said: "A choice between Brexit and a future for Scotland as an independent European nation should be offered in the lifetime of this Parliament.

"I can confirm that the Scottish Government will act to ensure that the option of giving people a choice on independence later in this term of Parliament is progressed," she said.

She also said the British government at Westminster should revoke Article 50 rather than press ahead with Brexit if leaving with no deal is the only option.

Article 50 is the mechanism triggered as part of Britain's exit process from the EU.

Sturgeon, who is also leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP), warned that as new deadline October approaches the risk of a no deal Brexit will rise again.

"The immediate priority we now have is to stop Brexit for the whole UK and we should seize that opportunity, and my party will seek to do so," she added.

If that cannot be achieved, said Sturgeon, dealing with the consequences of Brexit, and facing up to its challenges, will be unavoidable.

"I believe that the case for independence is now stronger than ever and I will make that case," she said.
She said the Scottish government will take the necessary legislative steps to pave the way for a referendum over the coming months.

Sturgeon acknowledged that the Scottish government would need the agreement of Westminster before holding a new independence referendum.

In 2014, people in Scotland voted by a 55.3 to 44.7 margin to remain as part of the United Kingdom. In total 2,001,926 voted to stay, with 1,617,989 wanting to leave the UK. Almost 85 percent of voters in Scotland took part in the referendum vote.

Lots of ambiguity and weasel words in that statement of one of many possible routes, allowing a, yet to be confirmed binding resolution, if allowed by another place.....

5 Years later the citizens may have a different view. But will the politicians of Scotland act by following the democratically arrived at, citizens choice? They did 5 years ago.

Ann Widdecombe to stand for Brexit Party

Former Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe has announced she is set to return to politics - for the Brexit Party.

Ms Widdecombe, 71, said she would still vote Conservative in the upcoming local elections but would stand as a candidate for Nigel Farage's new party in the European elections.

She said she wanted to "fire a very loud warning shot across the bows" of the established parties.

The former shadow home secretary has been retired since 2010.

Ms Widdecombe told BBC News she was standing out of "total frustration" and to show Parliament to "get on with it" or see their seats "in danger".

Strictly Come Dancing - an average of 9.3 million viewers. Surely more than just women aged over 60 and living in Yorkshire, the West Country or Wales.

I'm a Celebrity - series 16 averaged 10.5m viewers. Over a quarter of the audience was aged between 16 and 34, compared to 14% usually in the slot. The 51% share of the series in this 16-34 demo is more than four times as high as the 12% slot average. The launch episode gathered 12.7m viewers and a 46% share and was not only the series’ best performing episode but also ITV’s biggest audience of 2016. The episode achieved an impressive 62% share among 16-34s.

Clearly there are millions of TV viewers of all ages with a connection to Ann Widdecomb. That's millions of vulnerable viewers and voters who will vote for the Brexit Party. Maybe. 55

Latest rumour is Doris will ask MPs to vote on her clusterfuk deal without the backstop in. Pointless and futile exercise but that's our Doris. Tories will do well to come third in the Euro elections, 4th or 5th is entirely possible.

I've changed my mind on Brexit, purely for personal reasons. I've decided that the UK needs to leave the EU now. Leave the whole damn thing and negotiate closer ties with the USA. I want UK citizens to have easier access to work in USA and reciprocal treatment for Americans. At least our languages are compatible and we understand each other.

The Germans are bunch of thieving bastards that want too much for too little. They need to lose out big time with their export markets and German car manufacturers need to eat shit with their cheating engines, not just VW but all of them. Cases need to be heard in the ECJ for their cheating practices in all areas of German built vs other EU nation built products and this protectionism needs to be stopped.

Meanwhile they are trying to drop my wages by an extortionate amount, to the point I could probably earn more selling bananas on Pattaya beaches or picking strawberries in fooking Korea.

Fooking cheating bastards. Lets fook off and leave this bunch of cheats.

I also hate the fooking Italians and Spanish with equal passion. Useless fookheads have less clue than an Isaan rice farmer.

    Bastards bastards bastards....

My dear boy, I've told you before, I want the hard Brexit, BoJo as PM and WTO minus status.

The sooner it happens the quicker we'll have war in NI and re-unification, an independent Scotland, £ on par with the $US and the disintegration of the Tory party when the lower end English realise they're even lower than a Romanian's jockstrap.

    Truly, it will be exciting.

I'm all for bo-jo as PM as well and without further delay. The Maybot dithered and withered to the point the Farage fungus rot has started to grow. Need to leave now and sod any elections.

When is Trump coming to town? We need him to kick those EU swine and save the UK.

You do realise the UK economy is the same size as the 19 smallest members of the EU combined aswell as being the 5th or 6th largest in the world. I'm sure we will plod along nicely free from EU clutches.

I'm all for Scottish Independence and a United Ireland, NI won't be missed as part of the UK and I'm pretty sure if given the vote a large majority of Brits would vote quite happily to give NI back to Ireland.

I would welcome the unification of the Irish land mass. In the same way as I would welcome Korean unification

We both know that neither will happen in our lifetime. At least there is no religious divide in Korea, and no corrupt EU influence on proceedings.

Be careful of overestimating what bungholeboy ‘knows’.

    It’s very easily done.
