Not sure I would trust numbers from any source right now; most are manipulated for best and worst case scenarios by career deceivers with personal and political agendas.

Not paranoid, he just doesn't know how they work, how to use them or how to check them. This is yet another plain statement from Jabir and his ilk that he is incapable of understanding any of this.

I think obsessed may be a little strong. Leaving the Customs Union is in the Tory manifesto and one of May's red lines. It is also one of the reasons why brexit is at an impasse.

The principal argument for leaving the Customs Union is to allow the UK to make trade deals outside the EU. These include India, USA, Australia, NZ etc. I was just curious as to what the true benefits are in the mid to long term. How much extra trade would be generated and at what cost. I would expect a government white paper on this but can't find one. I have seen reports, but they tend to indicate a loss rather than gain in trade. On the mobile so can't link right now

I thought someone might have looked this up and could show why leaving the Customs Union was important for trade.

Leaving the CU is not about making new trade deals with the rest of the world, the British will loose out for sure on that, but simply to stop the free movement of people

    it's really that simple,

except people, like capital assets, need to be freely available in a capitalist system, and the last thing you need is a shortage of human capital in a fully functioning economy

I believe Doris will now revoke A50 later this week this being based on Corbyn would have to be absolutely mad to do a deal with Doris as then Labour will take a more than equal share of the blame at the ballot box thus scuppering his hope of turning the UK into a socialist utopia, the EU have had enough and want the process over so presuming Doris and Corbyn don't do a deal she will have nothing to offer the EU. This then leaves leaving with no deal on Friday (mine and many others preferred option) which parliament will never allow to happen so the option left for Doris is to revoke A50.

With unemployment at record lows and an increasing labour market, I'd have thought bringing people in from elsewhere was a necessity. EU looks like as good a place as any to get them.

No, no, you don't understand - the country is full, coming over here, taking our jobs etc etc etc. Don't you remember our very own discount-store Himmler explaining this?

What is it with you pound shop remoaners, immigration isn't going to stop, just EU citizens will have to apply for a Visa to live and work in the UK.

As to the customs union if you remain in that then there is no point to Brexit, anyway all irrelevant as Doris is going to revoke A50.

^^ Isn't that being, well, protectionist? I thought the UK was against all this protectionism... Free trade and free movement go hand in hand, just ask the Indians.

Did you think they were Germans in Gauleiter farages's pic? If you've ever helped anyone apply for a visa to this country you should know that any qualified EU person is not going to bother with jumping through those ridiculous and expensive hoops when there's pretty much an entire continent they can work in without any formalities. £400 to £1200 to apply, sponsorship required, and an 80-page application form. Get real!

Of course I've helped someone apply for a Visa for this country, my wife has been here over 10 years.

You really are a drama queen when it comes to business most firms will sort out the visas for their employees, all they will have to do is sign, a massive inconvenience taking all of a few seconds. Brits now can live and work in the EU with no Visa but still choose to live and work all over the world with no drama obtaining a Visa.

That is not remotely the case for getting work visas.

Errr, yes, That's because Britain is in the EU

No drama, are you serious? Right now EU citizens can get on a plane or a train and get work in any of 27 countries with no formalities whatsoever. Are you seriously saying that the normal work visa routine of payments, documents, sponsorship, waiting, bribes, posting, refusals, appeals, waiting, and more payments is just as convenient? Are you nuts? Just once be honest, just because you want Brexit does not mean you have to make shit up to justify it.

There is absolutely no way that an employer will find filling forms, dealing with the home office, and paying substantial sums of money more convenient than doing nothing at all!!

Where did I say it more convenient as obviously it isn't if not having to apply for a Visa. I just said it's no big drama as you would like to make out it is. Oh no I won't take that job in America, Australia or Thailand as I have to fill out a few forms where as I could just take one in Romania or Hungary as no Visa needed said no one ever.

Why Romania and Hungary? Why not Germany or France or Denmark or Holland? Do you think the EU is some kind of garlicky Rwanda rather than what it is, the richest and most powerful trading bloc in the world. That kind of sneering ignorance is why so many expats working in the EU despise the Little-Englander brexiters. As for it being no big deal getting employment visas overseas you're just off in cloud-cuckoo land if you believe that. "A few forms" , my ass!

Think will depend more on who the local candidate is as in if it's a Tory or Labour remainer they will get a wide berth in favour of a candidate who supports Brexit. But both Tories and Labour will be mad if stand remain candidates in leave seats. We shall see.

Right, so you apparently got it wrong and instead of admitting it like a man you deflect with a childish reply.
