^ Brexit is a shambles and the Government is an embarrassment.

Brexit was always going to be a nightmare as it was based on populism and lies rather than reality. You're just seeing the results of that which was predicted from the onset

    Respectfully, I disagree.

This fella explains the situation perfectly with regard to Tusk's words and the behaviour of the remoaner parliamentarians:

(obviously, May's half-deal that is, is not..., being put tonight is a weird state of affairs indeed)

You need a leader willing to put your country's interests FIRST and look after the citizens FIRST instead of trying to be some kumbaya drum-beating pukka-shell wearing global glad-hander. Fcuk that.

Brexit has only been a nightmare because the majority of the MPs are remainers and will not do their jobs.

They'll be voted out at the next GE and then we can get on with the job.
Brexit will happen, it's just a case of when. ..

Everything he said about the war in Baghdad/Iraq was proven correct; so, quite a dumb slur on your part...

This 8% figure while true is bullshit at the same time as it's taking the EU as a whole and not figures for individual countries. For example the UK is the largest importer of German cars, the largest importer of French produce etc.

I suggested that the EU wouldn't include all the service industry in the FTA. Since regulation hasn't even been fully agreed within the EU this is to be expected in any FTA and the UK will agree to it.

Since the UK isn't self sufficient some EU goods will have to be bought by consumers. It would be quite silly to suggest a selective boycott but stranger things have happened.

The UK takes around 9% of BMW's global output. In the final analysis it's small change especially when everyone knows that the BMW buyer in Britain will still stump up the 10% extra duty to get the car of his choice. Look, the fact remains, 13% of Britain's GDP is derived from trade with the EU, vice versa, its 3 fucking %. Britain is a nice bit of cream but in the end, who gives a fuck, it's not the end of the world but it is fucking catastrophic for the Brit untermensch and none too clever for the lower end generally.

It's such a shame we won't be seeing the hard Brexit though, that was going to be my dividend of the year.

A hard Brexit was your dividend of the year? Seeing you get even less baht for your meagre state pension it was mine too.

You can add in FuFu, Bobbie and Mr Sausage to that group. It's nice to hear Troy's civil comments in comparison. It's an emotional topic, and folks have differing views, but when a poster has 50%+ of posts containing insulting comments then you just wonder if they're trolling. At least Paps trolls with a certain element of style.

This lot have differing views, but make some interesting points. We seem to be at the stage that May wanted: everyone is panicking and thinking about voting for the least bad option.

It has always been the same, hold your nerve, and leave with no deal; the EU have prepared well for that (and we have prepared much more than some folks realize):

European Commission - PRESS RELEASES - Press release - Brexit preparedness: EU completes preparations for possible ?no-deal? scenario on 12 April

Britain could do with a little more time (which we are getting...):https://www.instituteforgovernment.o...t-preparations

Barnier deal is really the best deal you guys could hope for,

it's not Maybot deal at the end, and since she will be gone after the vote, you can name a real leader who will negotiate the details with the EU 27 and Barnier

    Vote Barnier Deal

5% inflation, index-linked pensions, higher interest rates, all good for we expats on decent rations here. Shit in Crewe but someone has to eat it up.

The pensioners of Crewe do ok with beer at £2 a pint in the local spit and sawdust boozer, cheaper than your local haunts down soi6.

I rather think early self- termination would be the outcome if one faced such a horrendous prospect. I could quite happily drink in a Wetherspoon but not with the hoi polloi that are currently attracted to them which is why of course I have to date, in some 17 years, never drunk in Soi 6 or in that Buakhow place. Biggest setback here was the demolition of the Tavern-by-the-Sea bar in the Amari Hotel making way for their new tower etc. Still, it's all academic now, low end British mongers do not visit Pattaya, they simply have not the money, and in fact from recent Bangkok forays they are a vanishing breed there too.

It's going to be close with most of the ERG (there about 70 of them) now backing Doris deal plus some labour rebels will too. Will be within 20 possibly 10 which ever way it goes. Tory whips been offering knighthoods and other enticements to get mps to vote for it. Would be considered corruption in most countries.

May will pick up a great paying EU job if it gets through - and would have proven that she is smarter than the rest... The smarmy basturd sitting to her left is even worse; looks like a vampire.
