^The unemployed being forced to work in exchange for benefits under threat of sanction, disabled/sick people being sanctioned or decanted into "training schemes"....all to cook the unemployment figures.

Nigel's new party will be more of the same, they might win 1 - 2 seats then again maybe zero seats.

It's better for them in the long term to be in work.
Otherwise they'll be sat on theIr arses doing fvck all and not contributing to society.
    Work leads to more opportunities.
Dole leads to inactivity and sickness.
Unless they're playing this system and living abroad in the sun.

    I agree 100% ...but,

Give them real jobs not fake jobs, which basically adds up to free workers for private companies at the tax payer's expense.

You are correct the ONS just makes the figures up and record employment is a myth. #muppet

You seem to forgot it's the government who provides the figures to the ONS.

IN their letter “Work Figures” (HAS, Jan 26), the local Conservative Parliamentary candidates Dehenna Davison-Fareham, Peter Gibson and Matt Vickers say there are more people in work than ever before – since 2010, they say that 3.5m more people have the security of a wage packet.

But that wage packet is so low because one full-time job has been sliced into four part-time ones. Employment is bound to increase this way, but opportunities for working families won't.

As a result, huge numbers of people are having to claim Working Tax Credits or attend food banks just to survive.

I wouldn't call this a Tory success story – I'd call it a national disgrace.

Since 2010 the Tories have falsified the employment figures, downplaying the true extent of the unemployment crisis.

There are about a million job seekers a year sanctioned by this Government and they are duly removed from the figures.

Same goes for the thousands of local jobless sent on two-bit training courses run by the Mickey Mouse club.

And finally, let's not forget the endless stream of unpaid mandatory work activity programmes.

Yet again showing what a moronic brainless dumbfuk you are who doesn't even know the difference between employment and unemployment figures.

Also many scroungers choose only to work 16 hours and no more so they don't get their benefits cut and can scrounge as much as they can.

Give them? Give them you say? Why the fuck should they be given anything if they want a full time job go out and get one. Plenty of them around. If you don't work full time it's by choice in the UK at present.

Another Remoaner leaves, and interestingly she is a former chair of the Labour Friends of Israel (which one of the other 7 (now 8) Labour defectors is the current chair of) - obviously this group is funded by Israel, as is the Conservative Friends of Israel. She's also another Blairite...

    https://news.sky.com/story/joan-ryan...group-11642422

Being a hooked-nose myself, I find these folks particularly irritating for three reasons:

    1) They are leaving Labour because they want to stop Brexit which is just a throw your dummy out of the pram type behaviour...

    2) They are pushing the agenda of anti-semitism which is just bollox; being against Israeli policies does not make you anti-semitic - I'm very bored of this dishonest discourse which has been used to attack Corbyn for several years now; the Israelis are petrified that he would become PM, so have, imho, funded a massive propaganda campaign against him.

    3) The whole Brexit/Blair connection with many of these 8 politicians being members of Blairs government and Blair supporters; we know how vocal Blair has been on Brexit; he was in Munich this week talking up the Germans and down the Brits - the man should be in prison for war crimes...

These 8 politicians are a terrible group; Labour is lucky to get rid of them, but they will now be doing everything they can to stop Brexit, and they will be well funded (I doubt they will either disclose their funding source or stand for bi-elections, so that tells you all you need to know on their thoughts about democracy and transparency/accountability).

Edit to add: expect a massive anti-Corbyn propaganda smear start (in part, to put a Remoaner as head of the Labour Party) and another major attempt to stop Brexit. By looking at the British established media, it has already started...

If it did then the German, French & Italian economies would be performing better than Britain's, but they are not...

Brexiteers still want Europe to be successful economically and for Europeam citizens to have a prosperous life - what we don't want is to be part of the federal ideology constructed by insane non-elected cronies...
The spat over Nord Stream 2 should give some a clue about the fissure between France and Germany, or more accurately the dwarf and Frau. When it is completed, probably this year, Germany becomes the gas hub of Europe and now the economic as well as the energy giant controlling the EU.

As Peter Hitchins has proposed, the EU is the continuation of Germany by other means, though I wouldn't suggest our naive Europhiles waste 80 minutes of their valuable lives to learn anything.

    More remoaner lies...

Yet another example, despite the fact that Honda have explained that this decision is to do with global conditions, the shift to electric cars, the Chinese market and explicitly stated it had nothing to do with Brexit, C4, a remoaner channel, just can't help themselves, constant links to "Brexit fears" and "thousands of jobs going at Honda".

This is just dishonest reporting and scaremongering.

I suggest people watch German TV, French TV, Italian TV and others, the global slow down leading into a global recession is upon us - and it wasn't caused by Brexit... In fact, a leaner Britain with a vision to self-invest and job-creation is Ain a far better position to deal with the upcoming global recession than the EU.

A 'leaner' Britain because of a hemorrhage of jobs?

You have a couple of posts there that show you might be as deluded as buriramboy, and at least he has rank stupidity as a mitigating factor.

Cyrille, why don't you try reading and researching followed by discussion and informed debate rather than childish insults (page after page of childish insults with no actual content).

For example, this clip is interesting.

They discuss a global trend in car manufacturing jobs decreasing and how the displaced workers could use their skills in aligned areas of 'green technologies' if the government foregrounds investment in those areas.

The nut job Soubry and two other Conservatives have joined the independent 7 (now 11).

I hope these remoaners, one and all, will stand for local bi-elections.

    https://news.sky.com/story/live-spec...group-11642586

If you're on the same team as Soubry, the worst politician I have even seen, then you know something's wrong... This independent group, remoaner group, basically have zero regard for democracy - just behaving like entitled children who can't get their own way.

There isn't one decent MP among the 11 thus far joined this romoaner party...
