I’m blaming the EU for everything that goes wrong in the EU, to which the UK is inextricably connected.

Impossible to make even minor changes From within, and it’s crumbling anyway. Better off out of it.

May's voice quivering as she presents a verbal agreement with Trump regards a trade partnership between the UK and US... like lipstick on a pig she knows its a crock of shit, knows that any trade agreement with US.corp is going to steamroller UK rights and legislations, knows that she will now go down in history as yet another modern British Prime Minister to be despised for the irreparable damage inflicted on coming generations.

    True scum.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

The white paper was issued on the 6th Oct 2016. It looks identical, except two additional paragraphs:

    "Conclusion18.
This report sets out the City of London Corporation’s public messaging on Brexit. Members are invited to review its content and provide feedback.
    Appendices

    None"

    http://democracy.cityoflondon.gov.uk...0Messaging.pdf

I'm surprised such a document isn't publicly dated on the web site.

Yup, up there with the worst even with impressive competition. Not an expert and the answers might be easy, but I still don't know what she is really prepared to pay to join Iceland, Lux and Norway outside the EU but in the single market, or we keep the CU like Turkey, except seasoned with rules of origin creating new hoops to navigate, or even if Trump looks down kindly or with pity, how a UK/US trade deal could work under the CU with or without rules of origin.

Hard Brexit is looking more palatable, call their bluff, get out and they'll be on our doorstep with cap in hand for the billions they could have had, to keep their heads above water for a few more months.

Bit of luck and soon she won't be there to sabotage Britain's future, if any, but then we collide with the downside of the devil we don't know.

A successful and beneficial Brexit was never possible in the real world and was only ever a phantasm in the sclerotic and deranged minds of Tory right wing grunters and their credulous sheep.

But in pursuing the madness this government will achieve two significant outcomes, the destruction of the Tory party as it is and the end of Britain's absurd devotion to burning a candle at the altar of its imperial history.

Its departure from the G7 is pretty much assured and if there is any justice it will be booted out if its anachronistic seat on the UN Security Council.

A hard Brexit is actually the best option since that will hasten the demise of the country's economy that much quicker.

My forecast is becoming more and more of a reality. If May, as it seems increasingly possible, gets chopped this week, then a Hard Rain is certainly going to fall as the extremes further polarise with the right wing nutters becoming ever more militant in their fantasies.

£1 = $1 - $1.10 is the killer and will unlock the dam.

    Apres moi, le deluge!

Your forecast is so wide of the mark, no one is listening to your deranged, hateful diatribe anymore. To say butterfly is your only supporter puts you in the same debilitating group as Earl and Texpat
Carry on and join the other bumbling old pond life at the benthic level.

One can always tell the unconvinced Brexshit moron as he battles to contain his fear.

A hard Johnson/Mogg Brexshit will collapse the currency in a day - the markets have already priced it in and most traders are looking at a $1-$1.10 range. With no agreement on protocols or tariffs the UK will have successfully isolated itself with the major export ports of Dover/Euro Tunnel seized up in a gridlock extending back to the M25.
It will be an ending not witnessed since the power cuts of 1972-74.

I'm getting quite excited about it and really have my fingers crossed Johnson and Mogg are the ones to take up the reins and drive the country over the precipice.

Lots of blabber from puffed up 'experts' on both sides, the inescapable truth being nobody knows the outcome or what lies a year, five or ten away.

Almost, that is, because another inescapable truth is the EU cannot survive without serious reform, while its corrupt, wasteful, incompetent and ideologically driven leaders are too far gone to consider any reform which requires a loosening of the reins, even for survival.

So, fck the experts, I say the EU is doomed within 10 years, and probably Britain will be collateral damage since having turned its back on the big Socialist tit it cannot be allowed any trimmings of success.

The only person suffering from cerebro vascular problems is seeling asylum, his increasingly incoherent anger fuelled, hate filled and hyperbole laden rants are indicative of a slowly decreasing grip on reality, in all probability brought on by the early and unexpected receipt of a p45, a reduced pension and his resultant exile in a third world shithole in the company of thousands of bull necked shaven headed tattood euro scrotes, hordes of smoke wreathed chinese package tourists, busloads of sweating pot bellied indian cheapskates and their blubbery wobbling wives, bars full of repulsive ragheads, broken streets lined with grinning and slithering thai parasites feeding off the tourists and a million bandy legged and ageing whores only too happy to suck on the shrivelled penii and lick the nutsacks of the towns unfortunate residents.

In that scenario, any trade would be a bonus rather than a necessity and the UK could negotiate without having both hands tied behind their back.

There is no good outcome from brexit, only damage limitation. Swallowing pride and forgetting the whole thing is the best move but requires a really strong political figure to achieve. Only Boris stood a chance of pulling off such action but he won't do it.

    The UK is toast!
The Brits are loners, can't integrate with anything, that's why they are on the decline and will soon disappear as a great civilization like dozens before

that's why you have miserable pensioners like Chass supporting it, it speaks to to them deeply, it's a calling to what they are really, anti-social loners who can't play with rules of others

the UK is a spoiled child that needs a good slapping, and Brexit will be that

More like "pushing the pencil" , sir humphreys ignominous decline from the fringes of power to the fringes of obscurity as the gravy train grinds to a halt thanks to the ravages of inefficiency, aggrandisement and austerity.
