^ Unless you listen to the Tory spin, which suggests it is part funded by a Brexit dividend. They are getting desperate as it becomes more and more obvious what a disaster their form of Brexit is.

    The whole point of course.

That the BREXIT bus wasn't an egregious lie and the muddier the waters the better.

    What a laughable embarrassment.

In other words...there's a 'y' in the day.

of course it was in the pipeline for a long time, but they are pitching it as another Brexit fallout success

It’s good that you can finally recognize smoke and mirrors as window dressing. Well done, even if it is after the fact.

There is no bloody dividend. UK will pay the EU to exit. Talk of a dividend is pure made up nonsense.

Just my take that there will be financial/commercial/social/legal/domestic time bombs in the small print, which won't be revealed until months to decades after May announces peace in our time. And the weaker she becomes through heckling and jostling the more devastating they will be.

Most Brexiteers I know personally, are beginning to give up on any recognisable future for their kids, grandkids and country.

Why are you so slow, and why are your intended barbs so pathetic and ineffectual?

I have seen slugs move faster than your thought processes. FFS Brexit moves faster than you. lol

This is the genetic reason for the failure of he EU to adopt any sensible proposals over the last 40 years. French intransigence and German patience leads to total inertia on any worthwhile issue. No one else gives a fuck until
the UK as the temerity to point out, nothing fucking works, for anyone except the two countries I just mentioned.

You truly are a demented old man, a mere wizened sack of desiccated futility exhibiting nothing but profound bigotry and prejudices pickled in spite and envy over many years of a redundant existence denoted by incomprehension and ignorance.

It must be dreadful to be that dumb and still breathe.

Which point do you mean Neo. There were so many.

I agree that both sides are run by devious shitbags who I wouldn’t trust to cross the road without supervision and a police escort.
    I agree it’s a fucking mess.

I agree that seekingass has his panties in a bunch over certain inbred pre conceived ideas that he doesn’t understand.

Yes indeed, good points well made.

Mainly that although the remain voters can be justified in claiming that many leave voters are ignorant of the facts, they are guilty of ignorance themselves in not fully understanding the machinations of the EU, also that both sides voted for an idea rather than an acute understanding. and yes, that the leave argument do have a case against the EU demi-gods in Brussels, as I've always conceded.

But I'm with him on his point that remain is still the best possible option for the UK's economic future.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

I generally like Pie but this one is a miserable fail not least because it is simply based on a false premise.

The leave vote was founded on lies, cheap propaganda and vacuous rhetoric built up over 45 years of a loony right wing obsessive clique spouting utter garbage.

The EU is infinitely more democratic that most member states and its relationship between legislative bodies and the Commission, its civil service, is no different to that in force anywhere else on the developed planet.

But the real kicker is this notion of a sovereignty that is undermined by the EU.

No UK Prime Minister has taken an adverse decision against their will or not in the the interests of the UK at the behest of the EU.

The EU has taken a collective vote from all member states on the principle of establishing a level playing field for all member states in matters relating to economic and employment issues affecting competition. The decisions to do this were enshrined in EU law decided democratically by MEPs elected democratically in their own countries.

Most EU legislation affecting individual member states relates to product compliance, a standard that affects all who wish to trade with the EU.

As I have said before, the sovereignty issue is a red herring floated since the 1970s and remains utter bollocks.

As far as i am aware, the EU did not send the UK to war in Iraq, does not dictate personal or corporate tax regime policies to Westminster on Budget day, does not decide educational policies, does not set local authority taxation, does not dictate how our NHS is: funded, managed or administered, does not dictate our penal code, does not determine our development policies in relation to air, rail, or road infrastructure, does not decide our electoral suffrage policies, does not decide our arrangement of our political constituencies, does not dictate our Highway Code and finally it does not dictate how our population can get pissed.

    So, there we have it.

Brexit is probably the only issue in modern British politics whose supporters are universally to be regarded as stupid, deluded, ignorant or are just plain fucked.

The EU civil service is very different to other countries. How many countries uproot their civil service every 6 months in a blatant face saving exercise costing the taxpayer millions every year. I will never be convinced that EU bureaucracy is not profligate with member funding, simply because it has always been unaccountable.
Unless there are checks and balances in place, it remains open to massive fraud.
Why do you think it is called a gravy train in the first place.

You are a mongrel and a very inflexible one at that.

Actually, the largest group by nationality are Belgian at 17.8%, followed by the French and Italians at 10% respectively. As of January this year, there were only 900 British staff out of a total of 32,000.

That's a lot of stuff it doesn't do. Would be fair and balanced to also have a list of what it does do, complete with waste, abuse, corruption, incompetence and zero tolerance of opposing views.
