let's show the fookers who is in charge, it's good to be German again

Merkel spokesman: Germany against Brexit financial-services deal
The German government doesn't support a special Brexit deal to give UK financial-services firms continued free access to the European single market, says Steffen Seibert, a spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Germany's focus is on maintaining unity among countries remaining in the EU, Seibert says.

Do you remember in Mel Brooks' movie, Blazing Saddles, when the towns people advance on our black Sheriff intent on lynching him and he turns his own gun on himself and yells out " Come any nearer and the nigger gets it!". The towns folk recoil in a knee jerk action programmed to react in a predictable response and stop rather than risk the death of the nigger in his hostage situation.

That's what Hammond/Davis are doing, pointing a gun at their own heads and threatening the EU to off themselves if they don't get what they want. Pitiful, utterly pitiful.

You really are clueless. Theresa May is on your side. She is an EU Federalist and doing everything she can to ensure the UK stays in the EU, takes on the Euro (she's already agreed that - first fucking thing she did) and is working away to achieve that.

Farage always was a mole, a plant. Always the ESTABLISHMENT have their own person leading the break away protest. Like caMORON, he was surprised the LEAVE vote won though so immediately had to disappear. If he was the real McCoy, he would have stayed and fought on.

News Flash.... UK will not leave the EU. We are not allowed to.

^ Oh do desist with those silly stats against the $. For TD the Baht is a far more useful reference and the £ is still very poorly situated.

Just imagine if the $ hadn't been Trumped...then where would you be?

disagree, there is now a consensus among core European leaders that Brexit is a good thing, simply because the Brits are treacherous and divisive fuckers that act more like a liability than an asset

The silly stats against the $ are for SeekingAss benefit who predicted parity with the £/$. And as they continue to get further away from parity I will remind him at every opportunity.

It is fast becoming evident to even the dimmest loony Tory/Kipper that their grandiose schemes to re-create the lost empire of " Victoriana Gloria Britannia", so proudly commemorated by the bizarre but fecund MP for the 19th Century, Rees - Fogg, are unravelling quicker than a cardigan knitted by a one - armed lemur.

The EU have told them they can go whistle for their passporting of any services, they are gunning for the Tory tax havens hitherto untouched and now their champion lounge lizard of a demagogue has conceded that the majority of the electorate believe quitting the EU is fucking stupid and admits the only solution is for another referendum, not least because most Brexshitters have realised leaving the single market etc won't get past the Commons in a vote.

But the truth is, Tory fellow travelling Brexshitters, not included in the Mogg/Fox/Davis cabal of fanatical twats, realise that the whole thing is a fucking disaster which if allowed to follow its course will mean their party will be destroyed for years. A hard brexit is rapidly becoming the choice of the deranged. The entire transport/banking/Pharma/ SME sectors are queuing up to tell May that if they lose their status then its fucking lampshades because no one can live with the clock getting turned back 43 years in the space of three short years.

They're looking for an exeunt and what better way than handing it all back to the British voters, God bless their pointy little heads.

I get the feeling that Farage's reversal is due to his self serving nature... that history might label him the architect of Brexit, despised with the kind of infamy associated with Chamberlain or Blair.

Hammond: EU "crazy" to cut ties with London financial hub
UK Chancellor Philip Hammond says that the EU would be "crazy" to break ties with London's financial hub and that the UK will not accept a Brexit deal that excludes services. "Why should you cut yourself off from the world's leading financial center right on your doorstep and find yourself beholden to other centers like Hong Kong, Singapore, New York or Tokyo?" Hammond said.

So Hammond who is a remoaner finally starting to realise how vindictive and petty the EU is and why the country voted to leave. And remoaners seriously believe they would win another referendum.

The crude antics of this desperate Tory government get more pitiful by the day. They are desperately trying to raise the temperature preparatory to the forthcoming trade negotiations in which Britain is anxious to include services not least because Brexit threatens losses of £60 billions a year if they are not. Hence these stupid claims by Hammond which of course have been timed to dovetail with those of Carney who evidently has been pressured into supporting the gambit. The EU will not buy it and from the background chatter it seems the 27 ae unanimous in telling Britain to fuck off. Bottom line is, Britain will have to pay a hefty fee and of course undertake to not undermine EU interests by introducing predatory tax free zones etc. The way things are shaping up Britain will be a coon state but which in return for an annual fee of, say, £5 billion a year can get to play with the big boys provided of course free movement and EU rights continue to be preserved.

20,000 job losses after Carillion goes bust. Start of the avalanche. For those who don't know the name Carillion was formerly known as Tarmac. Well done Britain, when you shoot yourselves in the foot you do it big time.

    7-Dec-2016
Upheaval in Whitehall departments after the Brexit vote and change of government has caused a slowdown in orders for Carillion, the building support services company. In a trading update, Carillion said it expected the value of orders and probable orders for the second half of 2016 to be lower than the £2.5bn achieved in the first half.
Carillion, which maintains roads, railways and military bases, said government business slowed after the vote to leave the EU on 23 June and the change of government. The result triggered a reorganisation of Whitehall departments and a spending hiatus before the new chancellor’s autumn statement last month.
Carillion is the latest support services company to blame Brexit-related uncertainty for a slowdown in business. Mitie and Capita have issued profit warnings after customers delayed spending because of post-referendum jitters.

Those 20,000 jobs aren't going to disappear, the administrators will just sell the profitable parts of the business and the majority will keep their jobs just employed by someone else.

It gets funnier by the day. That last cabinet meeting must have been a doozie - stupid fucks went round the table sorting out who was going to say what in a new campaign that is in fact no more than the old Brexit vote campaign, right down to Boris wanking off about his stupid bus slogan and poor old Hammond regurgitating the claptrap that the EU will suffer more from a hard Brexit.
No passporting of services, aviation agreements ripped up and ostracism unless Britain kowtows to EU authority and sticks with free movement and preservation of EU citizens' rights, that's the future.
