No, that's what the EU wants to happen, not what has to happen. Just another one of these artificial deadlines intended to provoke knee jerk reaction, the same as the deadline of this month for the EU 27 meeting. No panic at all, unless of course you're Irish, and the impact of a hard Brexit on trade with the UK would indeed be catastrophic.

The EU seriously needs to be looking at it's 3+ million citizens currently earning a crust in the UK, as well as it's significantly favourable trade surplus with the UK before getting too gung ho. As BJ's reported comments this week at a meeting, the cross border trade between Eire and NI is actually a pittance compared with Eire's trade with mainland UK.

My proposal is that any non EU person found to have entered the UK illegally via another EU country be deported via NI to Eire to deal with (being our nearest EU border). The Isle of Man could hold something akin to Guantanamo Bay for repatriation, with the EU being billed for repatriation costs, although that might mean Eire actually billing Apple for it's real tax to part cover that (I am of course saying this tongue in cheek, though on reflection the idea does have merits).

Freedom of movement really isn't an issue. Freedom of benefits is a real issue, unless based on work history and previous contributions.

It truly is quite challenging to communicate the degree of your profound imbecility. I rather think I may have encountered more intellectually stimulating turd fossils.

Well, manufacturing is now at its lowest for over five years, the is heading south again, foreign investment is haemorrhaging away and my forecast that car production would begin to trickle out of Blighty before Brexit kicks in is spot on as news of Land Rover's production of the Discovery moving lock, stock and barrel to Slovakia hit the wires a few hours ago.

Brexit, the disaster that keeps on giving. I'm beginning to really enjoy the sight of the stupid fucking English taking it up the arse.

    you silly blinkered oaf!

dont you ever read anything other than guardian article headlines on your freebie google newsfeed?

production will indeed be moved so as to free up the production lines from producing the diesel cars that nobody wants anymore, thanks to the imposition of ridiculous eu sanctioned environmental regulations and the high taxation these vehicles are now subject to.

however, millions of pounds will be invested in the solihull plant and the freed up production lines will be upgraded and used to produce electric and hybrid land rovers for which demand is increasing.

some jobs will go, but many more will be created.

i know it must be difficult for you what with all that pent up anger boiling up in your veins and the overpowering feeling of helplessness that brexit has imposed on you as you watch your dwindling resources disappearing down the plughole, but try and maintain a stiff upper lip old boy and do keep up. ex civil service and all that. dont let the side down.

Once they're out of Solihull, that's it pal, the fucking shambles of Brexit will ensure production is fucked forever.

Oh, I forgot to mention, Jaguar-E Pace production is moving to Austria.

And I rather think the BMW E-Mini will be built in Holland for sure now that quitting the CU and SM are red lines.

Honda, supported by a recent Nip Trade delegation and the Nip ambassador, has clearly stated that if there is any obstruction to its existing trading arrangements and to its supply lines caused by Brexit, they will quit Swindon.

Anything less than seamless will be the end - just a mere fifteen minute delay in its JIT manufacturing protocols equates to an annual loss of 750,000.

    Japs don't do sentiment.

Brexit is a fuck up no matter how you cut it, and if May doesn't belly up to the EU then she can kiss goodbye to billions.

How many migrants have they "accepted" previously. I believe Italy has born the brunt of the African exodus. What does Gibraltar do when migrants are approaching their beaches?

As the closest mainland Europe country from North Africa, Spain has for decades had illegal immigrants, sometimes thousands in a day, as well as being the most popular destination for the drug trade from North Africa.

Isn't Gibraltar considered part of the UK, considered part of "mainland Europe" and closer to Africa than Spain?

Is Gibraltar smaller than some of the Greek islands stuffed to the gunwales with ME children, who fear for their lives due to western created civil wars, raging at home?

I also believe many African countries are war zones, otherwise the French, German , Italian and ameristani mercenarys and "high likely" the UK defence forces/private contractors, are in Africa on their holidays, yes?

At night on a moonless night, who would know? Do these rubber boats have position transponders?

Can you imagine the DT/Mail/Guardian/Indie uproar if UK's newest, biggest ship, the new helicopter carrier, was to sail to Gibraltar, pick up a few thousand desperate, refugee families, with children (all under 18 of course), from war torn Africa and returned to dump them in Portsmouth. Would the South Coast cities be tasked with housing, feeding, educating, providing health/dental/contraceptive care and PTSC, along with UK minimum wage full time jobs? The buy to let guys would be coining it in, the Private Nursery Schools likewise. The Isle of Wight might be welcoming to them.

So let's not pooh-pooh the idea of some rubber boats, being punctured by Royal Marine's biggest, brightest, bestest knives being "highly unlikely".

The UK are going to need more labour after brexit to fill in the jobs the EU migrants have left behind. Closer ties with Africa through more trade in return for taking in all these new migrants. Way to go maybot and boris, fill ya boots!

Meanwhile Corbyn has plenty of material to make PMQs a real torture for the tories. You have to be incredibly bad to make Corbyn look good but the maybot is managing it with ease.

I can't wait to hear what the post summit brexit proposals will contain. How much will the UK pay to obtain a worse position?

The whole show is being funded externally. With the weakest leadership on both sides of the house, the billionaire Soros sees an opportunity to buy government ministers and MPs, thus securing a second referendum.

Not sure who is funding May, but whoever it is has backed a nag.

    Funny that.

The increase in NHS funding has been in the pipeline for some time. Absolutely nothing to do with brexit, or dumb Belgian invertebrates

Not good news at all, to throw money at a corrupt, wasteful, abused and incompetent black hole.

But it gets people juiced up and earns votes, making it a convenient political 'solution'.
