You're an utter clueless fool Butters who whines about Trump being treated unfairly. Man up and actually take a stand on something you admire about what he is doing instead of mincing around and complaining.

There are no topics that he can be attacked on? Really? I guess when one is in complete denial then that is a convenient enough deflection. As I said pick a topic.

Russians are all over this administration FFS.
Every single one of Trumps appointees to senior positions has or had ties to the Russians.

Good, it seems Nunes' ploy has failed. Now we'll find out how long the WH sat on information that Flynn was lying.

Sally Yates Invited to Testify in Probe of Russian Interference in U.S. Election

The House Intelligence Committee has invited former acting attorney general Sally Yates to testify in its investigation into Russian interference with the U.S. election.
Yates' public hearing would be scheduled after May 2, the Hill reported, and former CIA director John Brennan and former director of national intelligence James Clapper have also been invited to testify. Yates had previously been scheduled to testify before the committee in March, in a hearing that was abruptly canceled by chairman Representative Devin Nunes.

With all the eyes on this administration, they dare not do it. For right now, anyway.

US Will Not Issue Drilling Waivers to Russia Sanctions

    WASHINGTON/HOUSTON —
The U.S. government says it will not waive trade sanctions for U.S. companies seeking to drill for oil in Russia, including for U.S. oil giant ExxonMobil.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin made the announcement Friday, indicating that the United States would maintain a tough stance on sanctions against Russia.

"In consultation with President Donald J. Trump, the Treasury Department will not be issuing waivers to U.S. companies, including Exxon, authorizing drilling prohibited by current Russian sanctions," he said in a brief statement.

peeling back the layers on this onion will take time, but this already stinks...

Flynn’s Turkish lobbying linked to Russia

The Turkish man who gave Mike Flynn a $600,000 lobbying deal just before President Donald Trump picked him to be national security adviser has business ties to Russia, including a 2009 aviation financing deal negotiated with Vladimir Putin, according to court records.

The man, Ekim Alptekin, has in recent years helped to coordinate Turkish lobbying in Washington with Dmitri “David” Zaikin, a Soviet-born former executive in Russian energy and mining companies who also has had dealings with Putin’s government, according to three people with direct knowledge of the activities.

This unusual arrangement, in which Alptekin and Zaikin have helped steer Turkish lobbying through various groups since at least 2015, raises questions about both the agenda of the two men and the source of the funds used to pay the lobbyists.

Now it comes out Flynn is being investigated by the Pentagon.

Also, in 2014 he had received warning that unapproved compensation by foreign governments was criminal.

Mike Flynn under formal investigation by Pentagon over payments from Russia

Donald Trump’s former national security adviser is under formal investigation by the Pentagon for his apparently undisclosed paid speaking engagements in Russia, it emerged on Thursday.

Retired army lieutenant general Mike Flynn, a former Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) chief, has attracted the official scrutiny for potentially failing “to obtain required approval” for a Moscow speech to RT, a state-controlled news channel that US intelligence considers an arm of Kremlin propaganda.

Acting Pentagon inspector general Glenn Fine disclosed the inquiry in an 11 April letter to the House oversight committee, which is also investigating Flynn. The committee released Fine’s letter on Thursday.

No, that's not exactly accurate. Flynn was asked to resign for lying to the VP about his Russian contacts. Trump had already been briefed that Flynn could be subject to blackmail by the Russians and chose to ignore that when Trump picked Flynn as his national security advisor.

do we already know that to be true? i presume that's what we're going to learn on may 8th, but i didn't know it was already part of the public record.

btw, this morning sessions said he was going to recuse himself from the flynn investigation.

Do you think having business ties with Russian companies automatically disqualifies one from a spot on a presidential team?

it hasn't gone unnoticed that you slipped "companies" in there, but if these companies are fronts for the russian government, then yes.

    Surprise!

Putin Denies Russia Meddled in US Election

Russian President Vladimir Putin denied Tuesday that Russia interfered in last year's U.S. presidential election, saying such allegations are "simply rumors" that are being leveraged for political reasons in the United States.

Putin's denial came at a joint news conference in Sochi, Russia, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel after the two leaders met amid increasingly strained relations over the war in Syria, and Russia's annexation of the Crimea region in neighboring Ukraine.

Putin's remarks are at odds with findings from U.S. intelligence agencies that have reported Russia was responsible for the hacking of Democratic Party email accounts, which were intended to benefit Republican Donald Trump and harm his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.

In response to a reporter's question, Merkel said she was not fearful about the threat of Russian interference during this year's German elections and would respond to inaccurate information with facts.
