i suppose it was inevitable due to the law of averages, but you've actually posted something logical.

this entire trump fiasco that we're all enduring is due in large part to the media giving non-stop attention to the trump 'spectacle'.....which caused his antics and ineptitude to become normalized.

and the corporations that own the media outlets were happy to give him all that attention because it improved their bottom lines.

there has to be research which shows which republican candidates got the most airtime and front pages during the primaries....i would be stunned if it wasn't trump.

there are many who deserve blame for the mess we're in, and the media is certainly one of them. tbh, i think like most of us they assumed he would never win and they didn't realize the dangerous game they were playing. we can only hope they'll learn from their mistake.
