Here's a funny thing. Cohen only had 3 clients last year. Trump, who he paid off a porn star for, Elliot Broydie who he paid off a Playboy model for and........Sean Hannity.
Yes, that Sean Hannity of Fox news who's been apoplectic about the raid on Cohens office. No wonder.

WTF? As if this saga could not get more twisted!

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to join President Trump's legal team

WASHINGTON — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is joining President Trump's legal team as the president looks to end the potentially perilous inquiry into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

Giuliani, once considered a candidate for attorney general in the Trump administration, brings a big name to the team as well as unrivaled loyalty -- a quality the president prizes.

The addition of the combative Giuliani, who once served as chief federal prosecutor in Manhattan, was confirmed Thursday by lead Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow.

Trump, in a statement issued by Sekulow, described Giuliani as "great."

"He has been my friend for a long time and wants to get this matter quickly resolved for the good of the country," Trump said.

Trump's desire to resolve the investigation, a constant source of frustration, was on display as recently as Wednesday during a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

"So we want to get the investigation over with, done with. Put it behind us," Trump said.

Giuliani called his appointment "an honor."

In addition to Giuliani, Sekulow said that Serene Raskin and Marty Raskin, both former federal prosecutors, also would be part of the team.

i'd wager giuliani took the job because a promise was made for a future prestige cabinet position---state or justice.

apropos of nothing....2 weeks ago giuliani announced he was getting divorced from his 3rd wife.

While we're on the Topic of Trumps lawyers Cohen has dropped lawsuits against 2 websites after the raid on his offices.
I suspect he knows they'll uncover evidence that will exonerate the websites and incriminate him.

trump's obviously an idiot. trump couldn't get Comey to do what he wanted (publicly state trump wasn't under investigation) so he fired him.

What I dig about Fox news is how they can infer Comey's feelings about trump. You don't immediately call the AG if there's no issues with what the president has asked. You call to cover your ass.

hmm, we were talking about cohen when i made my prediction #1 (and harry, bsnub and ant were saying that the cohen investigation could take trump down).

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told President Donald Trump last week that he isn’t a target of any part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation or the probe into his longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, according to several people familiar with the matter.
also, notice that rosenstein said that trump isn't a target of mueller.

sorry ant, bsnub and harry: your wishes for trump to be impeached seem to be that (just wishes) with what rosenstein has said.

we'll see what happens when mueller presents his findings to the house.

sounds like house members will all say: "wtf? the deep state and the mainstream blew up this 'trump conspired with the russians to defeat hillary' and it was all b.s.?"

    Seems the Dems can't wait....

Dems' lawsuit alleges conspiracy between Trump camp, Russia
    Associated Press
Tom Lobianco and Larry Neumeister, Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — The Democratic National Committee has sued President Donald Trump's campaign, his son, his son-in-law, the Russian Federation and WikiLeaks, saying they conspired to help Trump win the 2016 presidential election.

The DNC filed the lawsuit Friday in federal court in Manhattan. It seeks unspecified damages and an order to prevent further interference with DNC computer systems.

The lawsuit says Trump and his associates had relationships with Russia that enabled creation of a Trump-Russia conspiracy. The DNC says Russia "mounted a brazen attack on American democracy" beginning with a cyberattack on its computers.

It said the hack penetrated DNC computers and phone systems and extracted tens of thousands of documents and emails. Trump has said repeatedly there was no collusion between his campaign and Russia.

a federal judge just shot down manafort's lame attempt to evade the criminal charges the special counsel filed against him.

    soooo......

manafort's still looking at 305 years in prison.

yep...305 years obviously means dying in prison....and probably means he's thinking about flipping.

Pity that the Intelligence Panel did not get the fact on the table:
Republicans on House Intelligence Panel Absolve Trump Campaign in Russian Meddling

    April 27, 2018
WASHINGTON — Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee declared in a 250-page report on Friday that their yearlong investigation uncovered no evidence that the Trump campaign had aided Russia’s election meddling, only ill-advised contacts between campaign aides and Russian officials or their intermediaries.

The Republicans took aim at what they called the misjudgments of Democrats and others even as they sought to play down the seriousness of mistakes by or suspicions about Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign. They faulted aides to Hillary Clinton for secretly paying for opposition research that included information from Russian sources, and castigated federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies for failing to counter Russian interference as well as for purported investigative abuses and allegedly damaging national security leaks.

In a nearly 100-page dissenting document, Democrats on the Intelligence Committee described the Republicans’ report as little more than a whitewash. The eagerness of Trump campaign aides to accept offers of Russian assistance, they said, suggests “a consciousness of wrongfulness, if not illegality.” The Democrats complained that the committee failed to pursue obvious leads, interview important witnesses or investigate crucial lines of inquiry.

The opposing conclusions closed a tumultuous chapter for a congressional committee that is charged with oversight of American spy agencies, but fractured into warring camps whose primary mission often seemed to be advancing their own political agendas. The results diminished hopes that Congress, which has mounted two similar investigations, is likely to get to the bottom of Russia’s attempts to influence the election.

You mean "It's a pity the Republicans have been frantically covering everything up".

On Friday, Democrats on the House intelligence committee released a fiery, 98-page rejoinder to the report on Russian election interference issued by their Republican colleagues that “found no evidence” of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Accusing the Republicans of “sophistry” and subverting the committee’s investigation for political reasons, the Democrats’ report excoriates their GOP colleagues for prematurely ending the Russia probe, failing to follow investigative leads, and distorting the facts.

“A majority of the report’s findings are misleading and unsupported by the facts and the investigative record,” the minority’s report states. “They have been crafted to advance a political narrative that exonerates the President, downplays Russia’s preference and support for then-candidate Trump, explains away repeated contacts by Trump associates with Russia-aligned actors, and seeks to shift suspicion towards President Trump’s political opponents and the prior administration.”

The day the GOP report comes out, the Russian lady Natalia Veselnitskaya at the Trump Tower meeting confesses to being a Russian informant to the Kremlin. She was not even mentioned in the GOP report. I saw the head of the GOP report being asked why and he just said it wasn't significant. Total cover up. The GOP will do anything to act on their repugnant agenda.
