Financially I am better off yes but that would have been true regardless of who was president. The other things that drumpf and the Republicans are trying to do is to me far more important. Unlike you my personal wealth is not the most important thing to me. Things like protecting the environment, climate change awareness, and making sure that my family, friends and neighbors are not left to die when they are stripped of their healthcare.

Wouldn't the more appropriate question be this?

Have policies enacted by the Trump administration increased the amount of money you bring home every month?

The president's job is to make things better, not to just maintain the status quo.

the media's making a much bigger deal of the results than what really happened. sure, the opposition party always does well in the year or two after losing the presidency, but the democrats have a long, long way to go to catch up with republicans in the states.

democrats winning races in nj and virgnina were not a big surprise as clinton won nj by 14 points and virginia by 6 points.

in the big picture, the democrats did make up a little ground in taking control of nj governorship and the washington state senate and now democrats control the gov and both houses in 9 states compared to the republicans 26 states. overall, republicans control 2/3 of the nation's legislatures.

in 2018 the democrats will probably make some more progress, but not likely to take control of states from republicans.

and due to gerrymandering, the democrats will likely find it next to impossible to retake the house in congressional races next year. the districts in republican states are carved to benefit republicans, obviously.

anyways, guess democrats can pray that justice kenedy will side with liberals on the supreme court regarding the constitutionality of political gerrymandering.

So you concede that the repudards that you support are corrupt evil scum who rig elections. Get ready for next year. No party on the state level has been swept out of office since 1899! Virginia!! You fucks are done!!

Trump is emptying the swamp, fucking A he does

US 'loses 60% of career ambassadors' since January - BBC News

under an administration that she argues appears bent on "dismantling government as we know it".

Ms Stephenson, a former ambassador to Panama, says there has been a "decapitation" of top talent.
The BBC has asked the Department of State for a comment.
"The rapid loss of so many senior officers has a serious, immediate, and tangible effect on the capacity of the United States to shape world events," Ms Stephenson writes.

The former ambassador to Panama writes in a forthcoming issue of the Foreign Service Journal that the art of diplomacy must be defended under an administration that she argues appears bent on "dismantling government as we know it".

what are you on about? bsnub, rather than spending 10 times as much time posting your opinions compared to how much time you spend reading up on the topic (apparently), it might be better if you reverse that equation.

first of all, republicans still control the virginia state senate and regarding the virginia house of delegates, 4 races are still close to call and although democrats did very well, it's unlikely they will gain control of the virginia house of delegates, though might get a 50-50 split.

so, not sure what you're going on about, bsnub.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/local...=.e05a157ec9e8

With four races still too close to call, both parties are bracing for the messiest of all outcomes: a dead-even 50-50 split that requires power-sharing and a potentially ugly fight for the speakership.

That would be triggered if Democrats pick up one of the four races that are close enough for a state-funded recount. Republicans have leads difficult to overcome in three of them, including Del. Timothy D. Hugo (R-Fairfax), who narrowly pulled ahead of his challenger after unofficial results were tallied. Del. David Yancey (R-Newport News) is just 12 votes ahead of Democratic challenger Shelly Simonds, with provisional ballots still being counted through Monday.

Recounts would probably take place around Thanksgiving when elections are certified.

Bernie's been sounding like trump, bragging about how everybody he was supporting won. It's a long way to November 2018 and the DNC is in shambles. Way too soon to be counting their chickens.

Still waiting to see that repo. Virginia and the rest of the nation was a stunning rebuke of the administration to try and make it out to be anything less is absurd. But that is what turd polishers like yourself do.

the dems picked up total control of nj (gov)and wa state (senate), so a good night for sure. Though, bsnub, sounds like you're struggling to understand the bigger picture:

No I am fully aware of it. The pendulum is swinging away from your party and this election is clear proof of it.

What was that? The one where Dem's reversed a reputard super majority and very well may take control of the house of delegates in VA. Riight.

Just watched a clip from Late Night.

Apparently the GOP tax plan - a plan that's wildly unpopular and perceived as yet another version of falied 'trickle-down' economics and cuts for the wealthy - has a tax-break in it for...

    ...wait for it...

You call these election results a hammering of the republicans? Dhingra is from a strongly democratic suburb of Seattle, and New Jersey and Virginia are both strongly democrat. You again are scraping the bottom of the barrel to try and present these results as a hammering of the republicans.

So that is the take from the right wing propaganda networks. You bozos got hammered. Get used to it next year is going to be nothing less than a massacre.

BTW how about your bozo evangelical child molester Roy Moore? Do you still support him? What a great christian.

Republicans already had a Roy Moore problem, but it just got way, way worse

where did you get the idea I ever supported Roy Moore.

so one of the three elections could be construed as somewhat of a major democratic victory and you are predicting dooms day for the Republican Party I do believe it is you that needs to rethink a few things.

He is a fellow "christian" and a fellow Evangelical. He is also a pedophile. So now you turn your back on a brother once exposed? So typical of you fake Christians. Jesus will strike you down for your ignorance.
