Well that's another big 'Fuck You' to Trump.

The tinpot little authoritarian who doesn't like dissent won't be liking this. Twatter tantrums to follow.

It really was especially since Jerry Jones was a campaign donor so a major slap to the face.

Quite a few of those NFL owners donated from what I can gather and most of them seem to be siding with their players - including that Khan dude who stood with the Jaguars in London.

Actually, have any of them come out in support of Trump's dribble? Not from what I've seen. The closet seems to be a rather tepid response from the Redskins.

No most are either opposed or silent. The only sports figures to support Drumpf are a couple of NASCAR owners. No surprise.

    This guy. Sorta.

"PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Alejandro Villanueva says the national anthem ordeal got out of control and he is taking the blame, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

"Unfortunately I threw my teammates under the bus, unintentionally," Villanueva said. "Every single time I see that picture of me standing by myself I feel embarrassed."

Villanueva was the only Steelers player standing outside the tunnel for the national anthem before their game Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Villanueva says he asked quarterback Ben Roethlisberger if he could be out in front with the captains during the national anthem and they agreed to it, but when he went to the front of the tunnel to see the flag, he went too far unintentionally.

"When we came out of the locker room into that tunnel, it was a very small area. There was a flag or something coming off the field so there were a bunch of Bears fans, coming off the field holding that going in front of us, so it kind of held us up," Villanueva said.

"People that are taking a knee are not saying anything negative about the military, they're not saying anything negative about the flag, they're just trying to protest that there are some injustices in America," Villanueva said.

He says some players who have been kneeling during anthems have even approached him before or after games and thanked him for his service including other players in the NFC North.

Sales of Villanueva's jerseys have skyrocketed since video of him standing outside the tunnel during the national anthem.

"I unintentionally left my teammates behind. I wasn't planning to boycott the plan the Steelers came up with," Villanueva said.

"For anybody who thinks Coach Tomlin is not as patriotic as you can get in America, or any one of my teammates, or the owner, I take offense to that," Villanueva said. "I made coach Tomlin look bad, and that is my fault and my fault only," he said.

When asked about if he thought President Trump should apologize for calling NFL players names or drawing the players into this he said.

"I don't have anything to say about the commander in chief and his decisions, I stick to football, I have nothing to comment about what the president says," Villanueva said.

"I will support all my teammates, and all my teammates and all of my coaches have always supported me," he said.

"Every single one of my teammates is extremely supportive and extremely patriotic. I can honestly say that," Villanueva said.

"Two days ago, Trump reported to the American people (those on Twitter anyway) that Iran had fired a ballistic missile, threatening Israel.

Except ... there was no missile.

Iranian state TV claimed Iran had launched a missile, but the footage they aired was from a launch that took place last January. That missile exploded shortly after liftoff. The launch was a failure.

Somehow, the President of the United States of America believed Iranian TV without question.

There was no missile. No launch.

Iran essentially trolled the President of the United States with a fake launch.

If only America had some other source of information. If only America spent a massive fraction of its budget on some kind of intelligence community comprised of dozens of agencies spread across the globe with assets on land and in the air and below the sea and all the way out into space utilizing hundreds of different kinds of sensors and employing tens of thousands of highly trained agents and analysts both civilian and military. If only we had something like THAT to advise the president.

The thing is, it's just about impossible to hide a launch. Especially in that region which is under a blanket of continuous overlapping surveillance by at least a dozen nations and international agencies.

So, you are forced to ask yourself, how was this possible?

How could the president of the United States of America become so utterly disconnected from his own intelligence service?

And where the hell IS he getting his information?

Trump tweeted this in the middle of UN discussions about North Korea and pulling out of the Iran deal. And if he and the administration he supposedly manages can get something like this wrong, what ELSE is he confused about?

He needs to be removed from office. Soon. Before he kills us all".

Tensions are rising with North Korea, there's a humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico and the aftermaths of Harvery and Irma to deal with and health care legislation.

Trump decides now is the opportune time to launch another divisive shit storm by picking a fight over NFL players exercising a right he doesn't like and makes matters exponentially worse.

Trumptards squeal with delight and go into flip-mode.
