The US buys a lot of stuff. More than other countries buy from the USA. What they buy from the USA although not insignificant, pales before what Americans buy from them. Once China stops subsidizing steel what will happen? You didn't know they subsidize steel? The EU puts heavy (25%) import duties on steel because of that. Is that a trade war? Too keep it short and sweet Trump and the Mericans will win the trade war so you can get a good nights sleep. It will only effect the global economy by a couple of percent. So go fly your balloons and be happy.

PYONGYANG, North Korea — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo landed in North Korea on Friday for a series of talks aimed at persuading the country to give up its nuclear and ballistic missile programs — a mission that in his conversations with at least two outside experts he has said was doomed from the outset.

Yes he has everyone aside from UJ on ignore and at this point is just using SC as his own bully pulpit without having to have any real debate. What he is doing is contradictory to what SC is all about frankly and I can not see why admin has not warned him to either take people off ignore or to just stay out of SC all together. BTW if he can't handle a few barbs or insults he should not be on this forum at all.

Can almost guarantee that he doesn't actually have anyone on ignore, it's the attention that he wants.

Credit where it's due also this was actually a relatively decentish troll he had going until he went and completely blew it with the professor of economics at the black womens college thing.

I'm fucking glad you never taught me economics.

Even an imbecile knows that if you wanted to kill what was left of US manufacturing, this is the way to go.

Because the US isn't going to win a trade war against a continent of sweat shops.

Mind you, baldy orange cunto has so little understanding of how global trade works, he's already fucked the Merkins by pulling out of the TPP.

I would google CPTPP if I were marky, might be in for a shock when he realises that baldy orange cunto was losing from the start, and stupid tariffs are just hammering the nails in the coffin.

It didn't help when entire US manufacturing facilities were crated up and sent to that continent. One example:

Yep. It was great for all the other Pacific Rim countries that he pulled out. The TPP was great for the US but bad for everyone else.

It's a pity Fred Trump didn't pull out 73 years ago.

Steel is made in both China and the USA. Steel jobs are manufacturing jobs. If Trump increases steel tariffs on Chinese steel American companies will buy American steel (it is better quality given the price is the same) thereby creating jobs in American manufacturing. That is the logic behind saying a trade war will create manufacturing jobs in America. If the Chinese are prevented from stealing American technology they will have to get a decent education system and produce people who can think as well as Americans which will costs more money and will give poor TEFL teachers better paying jobs.

Trickle down demand will eventually mean - Trump will be responsible for Thai Farang English teachers making more money. Hopefully allowing someone to write subtitles for the Footsoldier series of movies I am currently watching.
