'Trump Baby' blimp given go-ahead by London Mayor Sadiq Khan ahead of Donald Trump's London visit

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will allow protesters to fly a blimp portraying US President Donald Trump as an orange, snarling baby
over UK Parliament during the President's upcoming visit, it has been announced.

Mr Trump, who arrives in a week's time, will meet Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Theresa May, who was the first foreign leader to visit him
    after his inauguration last year.

Britain regards its close ties with the United States, which it calls the special relationship, as a pillar of its foreign policy as it prepares to leave
    the European Union.

But some Britons see Mr Trump as crude, volatile and opposed to their values on a range of issues.

The six-metre-high blimp will take flight during Mr Trump's visit next week.

Mr Trump's comments on militant attacks in Britain have sparked anger and he has often exchanged barbs on social media with the London mayor.
"The mayor supports the right to peaceful protest and understands that this can take many different forms," a spokesman for Mr Khan said.

"His city operations team have met with the organisers and have given them permission to use Parliament Square Garden as a grounding point for the blimp."
The spokesman added, however, that the protesters would also need permission from the police and air traffic services to fly the six-metre balloon.

A crowdfunded campaign to launch a giant "Trump Baby" blimp into the skies above central London during US President Donald Trump's
upcoming visit to the UK, has smashed fundraising targets.

More than 10,301 pounds ($18,427) has been crowdfunded to get the six metre-high, orange inflatable figure up in the air —smashing the
    original target of $9,000.

The anti-Trump activists behind the campaign are determined to have their sentiments known by the President himself.

"Donald Trump is a big, angry baby with a fragile ego and tiny hands," the crowdfunding page said.
Activists called Mr Trump a "racist demagogue who is a danger to women, immigrants and minorities and a mortal threat to world peace".

^ As if Mr Khan would have said no .
I can see American groups wanting to buy that blimp afterwards to fly in the US. Since it was crowd-funded, it should be given to the most worthy group. Planned Parenthood might be apt.
It should also be passed on and follow Trump wherever he goes.

I am sure you will see them all over the place in the states after this. I can't wait to see that in the air.

Oh yeah almost forgot in all the excitement...

So Trump's pulled the trigger in his 'great' and 'easy to win' trade war with China.

Around US$34 billion of goods about to be tariffed and he's threatening to raise it to $550 billion if the Chinese retaliate... which is actually around $47 billion more than the value of all goods the US even imported from China in the last year.

    But you know...Trump.

It's a disgraceful bullying attitude: I'm going to deliberately hurt you. If you retaliate, I'll hurt you even more.
    (Much like Israel towards Palestine).

Trump is on a road to a thrashing. His electorate will eventually hurt big time.

I read that article, too, Ant. With any luck, China will impose tariffs on US dairy, meat, and wine which will benefit NZ almost immediately. Here's hoping

It's kinda bizarre that Trump and his advisers (AKA. enablers) even seem to think that the Chinese are just going to roll-over for them on this in the first place.

His resignation letter has been leaked on Fox. Nauseatingly greasy, so much so that Trump may have written it himself (and edited by someone who can write). I'll try to get a copy. At the moment it's a graphic that doesn't lend itself to copying the text.
In the meantime, here's the first draft, snidely offered by a wag who has basically copied the style of the letter. "
    "My Dearest President,

Serving you has been my life's greatest pleasure. I will forever cherish the fact that you. and God, blessed me, your obedient servant, with the privilege of servicing you in so many ways. I serviced you with my hands, and with my mouth, and with every part of my body. I serviced you in ways that I did not even dare imagine. Your bold and aggressive leadership has engorged the prosperity of this nation, and brought us to an economic climax of biblical proportions. To supplicate myself before you in true obedience was to know my true calling in life.

And while I must regretfully resign due to the relentless attacks by and against my own family, I will rest blissfully in repose, taking succor in the memories that we share. While I wish I could gently, but firmly, guide your agency deeper into the deregulation we dream of, even if only for a few more months, it simply cannot be. Rest assured that I am truly yours, and yours alone.

    In faith and obedience,

    Your Pruey"

    Pruey?? The fuck...

Anyways it'll be business as usual at the EPA. He has apparently been replaced by a lobbyist from the coal industry.

Who ever said that rooting out corruption was the goal? I thought it was a coup because the Democrats could not win fair and square. Lets face facts the Dems had to look long and hard to find a candidate who could not beat Trump. Offhand I can't think of anyone who has a worse personality for elected politics. Russians? They can't even poison a spy without the whole world knowing about it. Look who Mrs Clinton picked for a squeeze? An Indian chick with a perv hubby who is all over the Internet. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Bad enough she is an obvious lezzy but her choice of gf's us just nuts. The Russians don't need to meddle as long as the Democrat leadership stays the same. It is not like this is hard to figure out.

WTF? You really didn't understand that, did you. Nor do you understand what's going on with the tariffs.
Here, let me put it to you in simple terms:
China imposes tariffs on imported US pork. Chinese (that's Chinese Chinese, not Chinese US residents) see increased costs of US pork in the Chinese markets (in China), so they stop buying it. Chinese importers (that's Chinese businessmen in China) of US pork can't sell US pork in China, so stop buying it from the US. US pig farmers can't sell as much pork. US pig farmers are worse off because there's a glut in the domestic market and domestic prices are down.

It's the pig farmers who are Trump's base. Not US resident Chinese pork-eaters.

    Similar analogy for Mexico.
It has nothing to do with Mexican Americans.
