President Xi put on a military parade to impress trump when he was in China. Trump was very impressed and his ego stroked. I think he was to re-create the feeling he had then.
And in the back of his mind it may even be a Reichserntedankfest rally to stoke up his mouth-breather supporters. He has done the Nuremburg rallies to death, now he needs to try something else a little more subtle. The Reichserntedankfest rallies in the mid 1930's may have helped recruit more nazis than anything else.

Numerous news report trace his fixation back to the Bastille Day parade. He never even noticed that all the French tanks were facing the wrong way, as their only gear is reverse.

He defo has some child-like fixation on all things military.

Gotta love that Tammy Duckworth calling him Cadet Bone Spurs and a 'a five-deferment draft dodger'.

I'm sure you're right but I recall the sheer joy on his face during the parade in China. He loved it and was impressed. He saw Xi's expression of power.
He was like a kid seeing a train set at the department store for the first time and then wanting one for himself..

I almost get ill every time I see the fat draft-dodger salute (poorly, I might add).

Are you now admitting you are afflicted with "Trump derangement syndrome"?

While Trump is a joke, Hillary would've been a monumental disaster followup to the insanely corrupt Obama years..

You can probably get some free medication.

Just an aside...why do Americans always feel the need to mention previous military service? It's not as if they've ever risked their lives defending their country.

Some of us have risked our lives. Although the 'defending their country' part is questionable as far as service in Vietnam went...at least from a grunt's point of view.

IMO it's questionable in every military action since WWII. What they are "defending" is the ability of a select few to profiteer(in some way, shape or form) from those actions...profiteering financed by the taxpayers.

And yes that includes the actions allegedly resulting from Sept. 11, 2001.

I seem to remember baldy orange cunto saying he was going to eliminate the debt in eight years.

Goldman Sachs estimates the two-year budget bill will increase the federal government’s spending authority in the current fiscal year that runs through the end of September by $143bn. The fiscal year 2019 cap would be lifted by $153bn. As a result, the investment bank expects the deficit to be $25bn - $50bn larger in each of the next few years, bringing the deficit to $1.23tn by fiscal 2021.

    So much winning!

^ no one said Trump could change the swamp, he is just a signal that the swamp is about to change...and we are already seeing it happen.

2018 will be a biggly yuge transition year.

The Donald is just a bit player in the cultural revolution.

How so? Could you provide some evidence to your claim?

Ah, I forgot, you just talk shit...you're too stupid to actually provide reasoning for it.

"I love bipartisanship, as you know. But the problem is the only time we discover bipartisanship is when we spend more money."
    Senator Jeff Flake, Republican-Arizona

So, it's back to the days of $1tn+ Deficits, Health care only for those that can afford it, and Military parades to almost rival Nth Korea. That doesn't sound revolutionary- that sounds devolutionary.

    Trump's White House platform:

-Its okay to grab 'em by the pussy.

-Beat your wife and get praise.

-Hug a nazi. They're good people.

-Clean coal is better than clean air.

-Any immigrant is a bad immigrant.

-The top 1% are most important.

I think it's more idiocy than hypocrisy.

He probably still thinks Mexico is going to pay for "the wall".

^ when did you start thinking presidential candidates tell the truth, all the truth.

The only truth here is that Hillary was the worst candidate imaginable.
    Trump beat her ass!

Trump's election was a signal; that the old corrupt warmongering status quo is unacceptable.
