Bias is not a strong enough word.

This is a good thing. Drumpf being elected. He will fail on almost all of his promises. He will be the worst president in American history. This is the last gasp of the aging white racist voting block. I welcome their demise.

Well you're certainly paddling around the shallow end of the gene pool.

Michael Moore correctly predicted the result by actually going out and talking with the people, gauging their emotions and strength of emotions.

Pollsters, largely employed and answerable to the establishment, did not. They are rightfully humiliated. The Press too.

The reason the polling continues to fail is really quite simple.
If you call people names; they won't like you.
If you make people feel afraid; they won't tell you that they don't like you.

...or to expand that a little: if you attempt to make people feel like pariahs, by making opinions those people hold dear taboo and depict them as expressions of evil, it will have a chilling effect on freedom of expression and they will conceal what they think, until the place they can express it - the ballot box.

Psephologists have begun to notice over the last couple of years that online polling tends to be closer to the results than traditional polling, and this is an example of that chilling effect; and of course, a lot of people don't engage online.

The lefties like to feel they are the underdog, the rebels, the righteous; but the evidence is to the contrary: they are the establishment; they control the public discourse; they seek to censor and viciously attack views that stray off-message.

Instead of talking to the "nasty, stupid, evil" etc... "righties" and treating them like human beings with legitimate opinions, they try to turn them into pariahs and the expression of their views into some kind of blasphemy. For every opinion a righty expresses there is a label, and that label is used to harry and exclude them.

Calling people names and "being offended" doesn't do anything; it doesn't solve any problem; and it doesn't win the argument or persuade these poor benighted orcs to "vote the correct way"; and it doesn't address the problems these people are experiencing - and it doesn't get them to tell the pollsters what they really think.
Consequently, when pollsters go around asking people what they think, to repeat, they self-censor; and save it for the ballot box - why is anyone surprised?!

Add to that the unrelenting propaganda and spin from the left-wing controlled media, and you get this "big lie" construct that the views of the left are the only views, and everything else is on the fringe, the extreme, and in the minority.

The polling is a problem because it is allowing the establishment to lie to itself, and
now with increasingly noticeable results... like a divergent phugoid... first the UK GE; then the Brexit; then the Trump; then the Austrian presidency; and the election of Madam Le Pen starts too look at lot less unlikely.

Meanwhile, back in the echochamber, the lefties, reeling in shock and horror, don't how to process this, and carry on with the mob-like behaviour - the personal attacks and abuse (as on this board, and probably on this thread), the attempts to define all those who reject their narrative as lesser humans in every kind of way...
What they hope to achieve by this is seems to forbid the expression of these views; instead of trying to understand them and negotiate true tolerance.

The left is responsible for Brexit and for Trump and for what comes next, because they won't permit people they disagree with to speak; they won't talk to them.
The choice for the lefties is really simple - carry on as you are, and get yet another electoral shock; or start rolling back this free-speech-chilling hate-and-fear-mongering cult-like behaviour, and find out what people really think.

he won't deliver on his miserable policies,

like Clinton would have failed to deliver, they all do. Even Obama failed in that regard.

Brexit like Trump, when you have the libtard media saying 24/7 that anyone who votes for Brexit/Trump is a racist/bigot etc. a lot of people simply won't be honest about who or what they are voting for. Is quite funny though with all the libard media and politicians now telling Trump how to act and what to do as they still obviously don't get it as in he won by not listening to them.
