I don't really see that happening though. Power and monied interest certainly have no use for such an exercise, and the voters are too busy being distracted by Trump's daily flailings.
Not to mention that there is no way the GOP will allow any redistricting that doesn't benefit them until they are forced to confront the issue in 2020.

Why would they be forced to confront it in 2020?

    Census.
Congressional districts are redrawn every 10 years following the national census. The process of redrawing Congressional districts is called redistricting. The U.S. Constitution actually requires a census every 10 years for the express purpose of redistricting Congressional districts.

Ah, I remember reading that at some point but totally forgot that the process was revised. Surely there must be some carryover though, the process has been gamed for longer much longer than the past six years.

I think she would have lost to a John McCain (of 10 years ago) or even a Mitt Romney, someone like that.

The GOP field was incredibly weak though, basically a bunch of total laughingstocks, so its hard to say how it plays out against one of the complete and total hacks. Its possible you're right.

Trump had the lowest likeability ratings of any Presidential candidate to ever run for office. Besides Clinton. So I'm not convinced he was some revelation that pulled it off. More like the Dems pulling defeat from the jaws of victory imho

HRC had too much baggage and should never had been nominated in the first place. Her gender definitely gave her an advantage over much better candidates. Too bad, so sad. She lost, so get over it America.

Lets be real. Bernie shared the same populist message that Drumpf did. The difference was that Bernie was real and not some pathological lair headcase.

No, the difference is that a vote for Bernie was a vote for the potential winner of the Election, by default. He didnt have a chance in hell, and by voting for Bernie, you basically voted for Trump, and did so knowingly.

Just validating your stupidity. Bernie's message has been ringing loud and clear in red states. He would have destroyed Drumpf.

I think he would have won.

I'm not some utopian who believes that he would have converted or convinced Americans that Socialism was somehow superior to capitalism. Nor am I wishing him into winning because I liked him a lot (even though I did like him as a guy).

Here is why I think he would have won, and its really simple: Personalities win presidential elections, not politics and policies. Every presidential election since pretty much ever proves that.

Bernie was a cool, likeable dude. And he was an honest guy. And he seemed honest. And that's pretty damn rare. Its what people have been looking for, and really what they have been looking for for a long time. And honestly, if its far fetched for Sanders to win, how it is not far fetched for some silver spooned reality TV show jackass to win? Both are totally far fetched, and end of the day they would have been running against each other.

I think Sanders wins going away against Trump. Clinton lost because no one liked her. Sanders would have won for the opposite reason. He was easy to like. And easy to like is what wins in America.

Looks like it’ll be a long 4 years for the apologists

    A 100 day ,....

    Fail

73,648,797 voters didn’t vote for trump. They might have seen something in him they didn’t like,……

But 62,979,616 (46.1%) voters fell for it

So what has trump accomplished during the first 100 days?

Middle Class Tax Relief and Simplification Act? (nope)

    End the Offshoring Act? (nope)

American Energy and Infrastructure Act? (nope)

School Choice and Education Opportunity Act? (nope)

Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act? (nope)

Affordable Childcare and Eldercare Act? (nope)

    End Illegal Immigration Act? (nope)

    Restoring Community Safety Act? (nope)

    Restoring National Security Act? (nope)

Clean Up Corruption in Washington Act? (nope)

Nada. trump is off to a wonderful start with a republican house and senate.

Because of the above (lack of any accomplishments) Trump has signed some executive orders which should help our children’s future (clean air/water - greenhouse gas emissions - fuel standards – etc.). Something to look forward to?

On jobs,.trump said he would create 25 million jobs in 10 years (208,333 jobs per month). Some might say these employment numbers should be credited to Obama, but trump is claiming that he is behind the good reports. Let’s go with that and see where trump stands on what he told his supporters (chumps) and reality.

    Reality: He's off track

, trump promised? No. Mexico will not be paying for it. Trump wants Americans to foot the bill.

However, Trump did get his supreme court nominee in through the back door. A bit of an embarrassing way to get it done, but he/his supporters can say they have a win.

The majority of American voters were correct. They/we did not want trump.

Trump will be the biggest popular vote loser in raw numbers ever to reach the White House.

    Final numbers:

    Voted for Trump – 62,979,616 (46.1%)
    Didn’t vote for Trump – 73,648,797

What the majority of American voters wanted. Not Donald Trump

    History:

    2012
    Voted for Obama – 65,915,795 (51.19%)
    Didn’t vote for Obama – 62,852,299

    2008
    Voted for Obama – 69,498,516 (52.93%)
    Didn’t vote for Obama – 61,815,304

    Electoral College count:

Donald Trump, 304 | Hillary Clinton, 227 | Other, 7 (Three voted for Colin Powell and one vote each for Faith Spotted Eagle, Ron Paul, John Kasich and Bernie Sanders.)

Trump's Victory Ranks 46 of 58 in Electoral College Share
