Ted Nugent says Democrats should be shot like coyotes


Musician and NRA board member Ted Nugent likened Democrats, members of the media and others to “rabid coyotes” on Friday and suggested people should not wait to “get” their guns and “shoot” them on sight.


Nugent, a major proponent of gun rights and the Second Amendment, applied the same comparison to Hollywood and RINOS - the common acronym standing for Republicans in name only - during an interview on InfoWars’ The Alex Jones Show.


“Don’t ask why. Just know that evil, dishonesty, and scam artists have always been around and that right now they’re liberal, they’re Democrat, they’re RINOs, they’re Hollywood, they’re fake news, they’re media, they’re academia, and they’re half of our government, at least,” Nugent said according to conservative media watchdog Media Matters.


Nugent continued: “So come to that realization. There are rabid coyotes running around. You don’t wait till you see one to go get your gun. Keep your gun handy, and every time you see one, you shoot one.”


Nugent made headlines last week for his comments directed at the widely known students advocating for stronger gun control legislation in the wake of February’s mass shooting at their high school in Parkland, Florida.


He said during a radio interview on March 31 that the students had “no soul” and also defended responsible gun owners who he believes are being attacked by those calling for more gun restrictions.


“The lies from these poor, mushy-brained children who have been fed lies and parrot lies,” Nugent said. “I really feel sorry for them. It’s not only ignorant, dangerous and stupid — it’s soulless. To attack the good, law-abiding families of America when well-known, predictable murderers commit these horrors is deep in the category of soulless.”


The students like 17-year-old David Hogg said Nugent should he apologize for the comments, but Nugent refused.


Nicknamed the “Motor City Mad Man” when he was atop the rock and roll world, the 69-year-old Nugent was considering a run for the U.S. Senate in his home state of Michigan during this year’s midterm elections, according to media reports last year.

DETROIT, MI - A 3-year-old girl was shot in the head Saturday and in critical condition after she was caught in an armed conflict involving two males at a gas station.
Detroit police had a suspect in custody, Assistant Chief Arnold Williams said at a press conference posted on the department Facebook page.
Just before 2 p.m. Saturday, the girl was in a vehicle with her mother at a station in the area of Puritan and Livernois avenues.
Two males, who were acquainted, had gotten into a "verbal altercation" inside the business. It continued outside and the two started fighting. This escalated to the point one of them went to a vehicle, retrieved a gun and started firing, Williams told reporters.

Bank of America to stop lending to clients who make assault rifles

Bank of America's vice chair Anne Finucane said Tuesday that the bank will no longer lend money to clients who manufacture military-style assault weapons for civilians to purchase, such as the AR-15-style rifles that have been used in several recent mass shootings.


The details: Finucane told Bloomberg TV that the move, which is part of an effort to help reduce mass shootings, was met with mixed response from clients, which she didn’t name. Per CNBC, BofA — the country’s second-largest bank — lends money to Vista Outdoor, Remington and Sturm Ruger. In the wake of the Florida high school mass shooting, Bank of America told Axios it is reexamining its relationship with banking clients who make AR-15s.

In the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, a school district in a suburb of the northwest Pennsylvania city of Erie is arming its 500 teachers with baseball bats, reports CBS Erie affiliate WSEE-TV. "It is the last resort," said Millcreek Schools Superintendent William Hall, "but it is an option and something we want people to be aware of."

According to Hall, the 16-inch bats were distributed to each teacher following an in-service training day on how to respond to school shootings.

"We passed them out, with the goal being we wanted every room to have one of these," said Hall. "Unfortunately, we're in a day and age where one might need to use them to protect ourselves and our kids.

Naked gunman kills four in Nashville Waffle House
A nude gunman has killed four people at a Waffle House in Nashville in the US state of Tennessee, police say.

The man burst into the restaurant at 03:25 (08:25 GMT) in the suburb of Antioch and opened fire, reportedly with a semi-automatic rifle.

Four other people were wounded. A customer wrestled the weapon from the man, who then fled the scene on foot.

Police are hunting for the suspect, whom they identified as Travis Reinking, 29, from Illinois.

The gunman arrived in his pick-up truck, shot people outside the restaurant before firing more shots inside, Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said.

Police also say he was naked except for a green jacket, which he shed as he left the scene.

He was armed with an AR-15 rifle, a weapon commonly used by mass shooters in the US, media reports say.

Similar rifles were used in the Las Vegas shooting last October that killed 58 people, and the Florida school attack in February that left 17 students and staff dead.
