So where will the guns and ammo be kept?
    In the classroom?
Great idea, then the shooters wouldn't even have to bring their guns to school, it'll be there waiting in the stationary cabinet.
What a bunch of morons to even consider this nonsense.

think back to your teachers in high school.

how many of them do you think would want to carry a gun? next to none, probably.

of those that would, how many of them would you want to carry a gun if your kid was in the school? next to none, probably.

this is an ill conceived and completely insane idea.

where else on the planet do teachers carry guns into the classroom? mogadishu?

most normal teachers don't want anything to do with this nonsense...and many of the teachers that do want to carry guns are borderline psychos.

    Mr. Broadhurst.

He couldn't even work out which kid was talking in class and would invariably blame the wrong one.

    Him with a gun...

    Of course there is.
BAN THE SALE OR OWNERSHIP OF SEMIAUTOMATIC ASSAULT RIFLES with large capacity magazines.
If Bubba really needs to go deer hunting allow him a bolt or lever action rifle with a 5 shot magazine similar to the one Ant posted above.
He won't need anything more than that.

Teachers with guns. A uniquely American approach to eliminating classroom troublemakers and slow learners.

Mr. Holland. He was so senile and out of it, one day one of my fellow pupils spent the lesson shooting air pistol rounds around his feet and he never noticed.

I spent 3 days in detention in HS. One of the guys in there raised banties and made a deal with another one to give him a bunch of hatchlings for a 22 hand gun. Next day we all sat around playing with the 22. Didn't seem like a big deal then. That was back when guns were good tho.

It is a well thought out red herring to perpetuate and protect an NRA/arms industry invented myth that more guns are the solution to stopping the carnage that plague the US.

The answer is obvious. Get ridiculousy easy to obtain guns out of the hands of the general public.

Adopt guns laws from countries that have private gun ownership rights but have far less gun deaths than the US.

That's the answer but the likelihood of this happening in a country brainwashed by centuries of arms industry bullshit is near zero. Same thing goes for correcting the dismal health care failure in the US.

Read somewhere there is a Democrat billionaire who is donating money for a voting drive in high schools. They reckon young voters will eventually push out the NRA backed policians.

The kids will need the bucks to have any meaningful change occur. Also, a big factor will be the attention span of the US news media.

Found one. Oops. It didn't say eventually. They are attemping to do it for the mid term elections.

Tom Steyer, gun safety groups plan voter registration drive for high school students

In response to last week’s deadly shooting in Florida, two prominent gun safety groups are joining with Tom Steyer, the Democratic billionaire activist, in a push ahead of the midterm elections to register high school students to vote around gun issues.

Steyer’s NextGen America group is working with Giffords — the group founded by former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, after she was shot in 2011 — and Everytown for Gun Safety, founded by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The effort is kicking off with a $1 million donation from Steyer.
