    This is all so sad.....

    Not Ted specifically....

Just the utter mediocrity from whom Americans must select what they
hope will be the least horrible of a multitude of pathetic options.

    Just sad.....

One keeps hoping to awake and see a big sign that says, "Aw come on...ya'll knew we were just funning ya with Ted and Hillary and the rest, didn'ya?"

Observing from a distance as we do gives us a unique perspective on the insanity of it. Folks in the US are so caught up in it all they actually believe they have good choices. That's the sad part.

It really amazes me how long you bleat on about things like this. Best you try and let it be forgotten, since your complaints about Obama always come back and bite you on the butt.

Where are Scott Walker's college transcripts?

Huh, huh? Has he released them for us to peruse? He lied and said he had, when in reality he only allowed the school to say he was a student in good standing.

He did not authorize Marquette to release his records.

The point is Misskit entities such as Politfact appear to exist for the express purpose of finding 'dirt' on Republican candidates while overlooking/ignoring more worthy targets.

"Politifact not only made calls for this, they sent someone out to a store to check the racks. They really did not want the truth to get away from them on this critical issue. You can see where they thought this was going. They would have played this up with a headline like: Scott Walker’s Pants and Sweater Are On Fire!

Much to Politifact’s dismay, it turns out that Walker probably did get the sweater for $1 using “Kohl’s Cash,” which is a discount given as a reward for a prior purchase. Politifact rates the story “True.”

Perhaps because this didn’t work out, Politifact makes sure to tell us the whole thing wasn’t really their idea. The story notes, “we heard from readers from around the country who thought it was an unbelievable story.” That should tell you all you need to know about Politifact’s readers. They are people clamoring for a fact check over a Republican’s bargain shopping.

It’s worth noting that just last month, Politifact declined to issue a ruling on Hillary Clinton’s claim that she “fully complied with every rule” relating to the use of private email while Secretary of State. That story, which dominated the news for more than a week, was too difficult for Politifact to parse. The site argued that since we will never know what emails Hillary deleted, we can’t know if she was telling the truth. Even when the experts they spoke to suggested Hillary’s claims were not plausible, they stuck with no ruling.

But at least Politifact has the important stories nailed down."

    Surely, you jest.

My point is, you just had to add your two cents about Obama's uni record. Still banging on about it years after everyone else has forgotten that wingnut bone of contention.

Yet, here is your man, Scott Walker, NOW in the same position, not releasing his college transcripts.

WORSE than Obama, because now Walker lied about it and this is a CURRENT ISSUE.

Well, we're happy to know that Politfact will keep us on the straight and narrow w/regard to these slippery politicians and ensure the American people will receive 'fair & unbalanced' reporting.

    Right...

Are you saying Politifact is not telling the truth? That Walker did in fact release his college transcripts?

Poor Boon and his RW persecution complex...

Why don't you post up some more Breitbart lib bashing articles, they should be easy to find except that if you don't include Obama being from Kenya, Obama being a Muslim, or Obama hating America, your selection is greatly reduced.

Welup, here's a few real facts re Politifact is concerned:

Eric Ostermeier at Smart Politics has published the results of a study he has made that shows Republicans getting much harsher treatment than Democrats over the last 13 months:

PolitiFact assigns “Pants on Fire” or “False” ratings to 39 percent of Republican statements compared to just 12percent of Democrats since January 2010 …

But although PolitiFact provides a blueprint as to how statements arerated, it does not detail how statements are selected.

For while there is no doubt members of both political parties make numerous factual as well as inaccurate statements – and everything in between – there remains a fundamental question of which statements (by which politicians) are targeted for analysis in the first place.

A Smart Politics content analysis of more than 500 PolitiFact stories from January 2010 through January 2011 finds that current and former Republican officeholders have been assigned substantially harsher grades by the news organization than their Democratic counterparts.

In total, 74 of the 98 statements by political figures judged “false” or “pants on fire” over the last 13 months were given to Republicans, or 76 percent, compared to just 22 statements for Democrats (22 percent).

Ostermeier notes that the breakdown of statements reviewed is more or less evenly split, with 50.4% of the statements from Republican public officials, 47.2% from Democrats, and the small remainder from independents. But that’s curious in itself, as Ostermeier later points out:

What is particularly interesting about these findings is that the political party in control of the Presidency, the US Senate, and the US House during almost the entirety of the period under analysis was the Democrats, not the Republicans."

Selection bias at Politifact? « Hot Air

Just more of that same-o, same-o left wing bias in the media...

^Fine. Politifact finds more Republican bullshit than Democrat. If you say they are biased, fine. Your sources, Breitbart and the likes are biased too. So what?

NOW, let's see Scott Walker's college transcripts.

That in no way proves bias. The simple reality is the right is constantly pushing bullshit and lying. So they have more bullshit to expose.

What is the easiest way to counter a source that is exposing your lies? Scream bias. The reality is that the right can not back up that claim with any legitimate evidence.

Right wing blogs have attempted to do the same thing to Snopes. Concocting a story that they were associated with the favorite right wing target Soros. But once again it was just a baseless smear campaign.

However the right wing lemmings don't care about nor do they want to hear the truth.

Not all of us. Most of my friends and associates think the system is completely broken.

The candidates on the left are few and far between.

Hillary is a corporatist and in bed with wall street. She is a conservative. All of the Republican candidates are as bad or far far worse.

I being an optimist hope for a true progressive ticket. But I know that will never come. At least not yet.

Warren/Sanders would be a dream ticket. They could really shake up this nation.

Why yes- at the behest of his mentor and significant funder Sheldon Adelson- who knows they are total idiots and looks down on them with contempt. Useful idiots, schlepping for the cause.

Really, just look at some of the 'readers comments' on his free Israeli rag. They are hilariously funny, yet ultimately leave one a bit saddened. But if the Messiah comes anytime soon, I'm surely in trouble and shall be sent to a lake of fire.

There are a lot of troubles in this country, a lot of hypocrisy from politicians and a lot of stupidity from corrupt representatives out for power and money. Same thing happens in a lot of countries. There are also a lot of people with values in the right place or the country could never have dragged itself from the sin of slavery and genocide. It is easy to claim the failure belongs to the people who have not been able to correct the current destructive trends dominating the country' s politics or overcome the corruption taking over the system. But self-righteous sanctamoniuous boredom is as useful as Ted Cruz, and about as laughable.

The best candidate in either pool is former Senator James Webb who:

    * is a former Republican.
    * served as Secretary of the Navy under Ronnie Raygun but quit.
    * is a Vietnam veteran and Democrat whose son actually served in Iraq.
    * actually supports veterans and not hose them at every turn like republicans.
    * is a Marine and Naval Academy graduate who whooped Oliver North's ass in the brigade championship.
    * speaks a second language fluently ... Vietnamese.
    * is the most pragmatic and close to the center of any of the candidates.

    But ... He doesn't stand a chance.
