^Perhaps you should know that the Crimea - beside the historical facts connecting it to Russia - had been and still is - an autonomous republic. If you know what "autonomous" means.

BTW, to get a "full control" of a country it can be achieved by an invasion with thousands of deaths - as we know so many cases from the present times - and/or by other peaceful means... What style do you prefer?

Who has a knowledge also from other sources than from the "reliables" - as we are oft reminded - could learn that the situation in Ukraine is very serious, espeially now, when the winter season is coming. For millions of the population it is a question of survival without water and heat in their harsh conditions. (Luckily, we are spared of the reports of such living conditions, unlike those of North Korea - surely a thought for the Crimea people who are now very sabai...)

And that - despite the enormous support from their Western friends. What the Ukraine govt can do with their strongmen re-establishing Nazi symbols like the infamous Stepan Bandera? Will it help to their re-election in next months?

Then perhaps only another serious conflict can help, martial law and few US ships approaching the conflict area.

How dangerous is Vladimir Putin? Simply answered. The man is fundamentally a Russian.
How dangerous is Vladimir Putin?-vladimir_putin_wedding-2-jpgIndeed(s),...despite the multiple ethnic/ideological differences among the Russian people,...

Putin thoroughly grasps the principle values of the zipped-lip,...together w/ the mentality of maintaining strict solidarity with his compatriots...

Best answer, that I can fathom...Even the so-called "Christian" Holy Scriptures, speaks (extensively), regarding the "virtues" of knowing how/when to mind one's own business.

How easy it is in another (New) world where the Mexicans just had became Californians, Nevadians, Coloradians, Arizonians, New Mexicans, Texanians, Guamians, PuertoRiconians, Alaskians, (some few more?) hence automatically became Americans...

German officials discovered an identification card belonging to Russian President Vladimir Putin, tagging him as a member of the defunct East German secret police.

Germany’s Bild newspaper reported Monday that the card was found in the archives of Germany’s intelligence service in Dresden, where the Kremlin leader served as KGB officer under the Soviet Union in the 1980s.

Bild disseminated a photo of the ID card for Major Vladimir Putin, signed and validated with stamps until the end of 1989, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) noted.

Anyway, every state does possess a police, doesn't it? Or does any state exist without?

In East Germany it had been the StaatsSicherheitDienst (Stasi), in West Germany it is BundesNachrichtenDienst created 50 years ago from infamous Gehlen Organization. The BND in Wiesbaden is directly connected to CIA, there is a number of interesting stories about that, also documentaries aired even in German TV.

Sensational discoveries of interesting documents (passports and similar) found on various sites, sometimes within minutes after a disastrous demolition, sometimes after many years. Some documents are time-by-time de-classified (and blackened), some discarted, depends how it suits to the current regime...

I expect the forum fuckwit to have no clue what the STASI's role in communist East Germany was. However I didn't realise it was possible for there two be two Klondykes on here.

We're in trouble if they breed.

    ^Two here or two there?

The only difference between the two organisations, one in East, one in West: the one does the bad things for a good purpose, the other does the good things for a bad purpose (or does it do also the bad things for a bad purpose?).

Now it's has escaped to my consciousness which one is the one and which one is the other...
