    Another project completed as promised.

Full stream ahead! Russia & Turkey officially complete construction of joint gas pipeline

"Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will participate in an official ceremony on Monday marking the completion of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline.
The offshore section of the pipeline, which is 930km (578 miles) and runs along the bottom of the Black Sea, is designed to deliver Russian gas to the Turkish market. Russia’s Gazprom began construction of the section in May 2017.

It will be continued by a 180km (112 miles) land transit line for gas supply to the countries of south and southeast Europe. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2019.

The pipeline, which has two parts, is expected to carry 31.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year from Russia to Turkey. It is a major joint project between the two countries.

The deputy chairman of Gazprom’s board of directors, Alexander Medvedev, said earlier that in the near future the company would finally determine the route of the second line. According to him, two main options are being discussed in accordance with the procedures in the European Union and the European Commission. Medvedev cited Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Hungary as potential markets."

Poor old Vlad, I bet he was itching to get his hands on that!

Interpol has elected South Korean Kim Jong-yang as its president, rejecting the controversial Russian frontrunner.Mr Kim was chosen by Interpol's 194 member states at a meeting of its annual congress in Dubai.

He beat Russia's Alexander Prokopchuk, who has been accused of using Interpol's arrest warrant system to target critics of the Kremlin.

Russia blamed the outcome of the voting on "unprecedented pressure and interference".
I blame it on the fact that they're a bunch of c u n t s who can't be trusted and most countries know it.

On the Pence article, he always looks that way. Journos reading too much into it.

Severe constipation induced by extreme religious repression can do that.

Russia poses greater threat to Britain than Isil, says new Army chief

Russia is now “indisputably” a greater threat to the security of Britain and her allies than Islamist extremist groups such as al-Qaeda and Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil), the new Army chief has warned.

Apart from posing a conventional military threat, the Russians are constantly seeking to undermine the West by developing new war-fighting capabilities in non-conventional areas such as cyber and space.

Speaking in his first interview since his appointment as the Chief of the General Staff, Gen Mark Carleton-Smith, 54, said it was vital that Britain and its allies were not complacent about the threat Russia posed.

Children’s show is propaganda for Putin, say critics

A programme about a mischievous girl and a bear watched by millions of British children is accused of being a “soft propaganda” tool for the Kremlin (Mark Bridge writes). The English-language Masha and the Bear has more than 4.18 million subscribers on YouTube and, in various languages, the animated series has gained 40 billion views across 13 channels.

Children enjoy watching the feisty little girl and her gentle giant protector. However, critics in Russia’s neighbouring states have claimed the series, from a Moscow studio, is part of the country’s propaganda machine. Professor Anthony Glees, of the University of Buckingham, an intelligence expert, said: “Masha is feisty, even rather nasty, but also plucky. She punches above her slight weight. It’s not far-fetched to see her as

Given their recent shenanigens, they've clearly proven that they are a threat to almost everyone. Although personally I'd still keep a beady eye on the chinkies.

They were never a threat to national security, simply to victims of terrorism.

That's why only few thousands US servicemen died (is the exact figure known?) to "diminish" the "threat to victims of terrorism", and some hundreds of their allies as well, deaths of others are not accounted...

    Handbags at sea.

The waters near the Crimean peninsula were the site of a tense standoff between Russian and Ukrainian ships that involved a chase, some gunfire, and fighter jets, followed by strong statements from Moscow and Kiev.
At around 7am Moscow time (4am GMT) on Sunday, two artillery boats and a tugboat belonging to the Ukrainian Navy crossed the Russian maritime border in the Black Sea and headed to the Kerch Strait.
Vessels generally pass through the strait after receiving proper permission and according to a schedule, but these ships had no such consent, according to Russian Federal Security Service responsible for maintaining order at the border.

The Russian officers repeatedly asked the Ukrainian vessels to leave Russia's territorial sea and exclusive economic zone, but they ignored those requests.
"The vessels are undertaking dangerous maneuvers, and are not obeying lawful instructions from the Russian authorities," the FSB said in a statement. The ships also entered waters that had been temporarily closed to navigation.

The Russians called the UNSC, the Ukrainians call for the use of an as yet unknown Martial Law bill to be enacted.

The only problem is that they are not Russian territorial waters.

They are occupied Ukrainian territorial waters.

Agree that some have differing viewpoints.

Here is another video which continues the RT published ones. It shows the tug turning right into the path of the, presumably Russian warship, and visibly being affected slightly.

No photos of the tug sinking or being damaged.

    Not interested in the waffling.

Again: They are illegally occupied sovereign Ukrainian waters.
