but it could be thinkable, that destroying the syrian ARMY could be beneficial when striking irans nuclear facilities...

lets be honest, they wouldnt stand the slightest chance against israel...
jordan wouldnt attack and lebanon is also not really a state of the art military camp...

egypt wouldnt strike, even though nobody gives a flying about the peace treaty, nobody gives a flying about iran either...

^^ See how much they scrounge off the rest of the civilised world every year? (u need to dig deep) The answer lies within. This Ghetto Mentality has paid, and it should be stopped for the sake of Israel as an ongoing nation.

the only reason why israel might seek trouble - as iran-trouble didnt really pan out - is, the settlement policy, which would be certainly postponed by a war...

but ON THE GROUND there is actually no threat, that would need to get involvement (as in toppling assad...)...
and if the rebels take over, they wont have anything to attack, as army wont be fully behind them, nor will there (in this case) any much left of it...

the only threat is currently the peace-negotations..

hezbullah, assad, iran - are no threats to israel...

That is not a threat at all- it is a promise. I want to see Israel accepted among the first rank of world nations, but to do so it must act like a first world country. It will eventually anyway, but the one state solution is not the preference of the vast majority of Israeli's.

^^Yes because the first requirement for being considered a first world country is to do as you are told by the UN and allow the "international community" to determine the course of your foreign and domestic policy.

I think the US screwed up (Obama & his supporters) by getting involved in Egypt's civil war. Now every two-bit country in the world will start having "civil wars" so the US will step in and help them overthrow the current, corrupt government so they can replace it with their own (rebel) corrupt leaders.

Staying out of Syria is the best course of action IMO.

every other week there is another "threat"... always, years, daily, weekly...

please YOU read the newspapers for a while...

they can call hezbollah a threat for the 1000st time in 10 years, but it doesnt explain why assad has to fall...

Palestine does want to become a UN member state. And it will, be that via Israel or a combined state. Only a question of time.
And if you think you can wish away some 5.5mm Palestinians living in Palestine & Israel, or pretend they do not exist, then who are you trying to fool? This has never happened in world history, and never will.

    Well well well

    Ali talking sense

Has her account been hacked ?

Talking about threats left right and center are often due to domestic politics

And you do have to justify the enormous millitary budget in Israel to the population

Hizbollah, Assad and Iran are appreciated in Pentagon and the american arms industry aswell

Same all over actually; if you haven't got any enemies, you'll have to invent some

Are you aware that Israel posseses a couple of umbrellas ?

The threat to Israel is that she will lose friends in the west, and get isolated

How do you think the israelies felt about the Brotherhood in Egypt taken over ?

They prefered Mubarak. A stable dictatorship

    Ok
So, let's say Assad is a minor threat too

If the Assad regime falls, who will take power ?

Probably no one, but two or more fractions of the resistance will fight it out iraqi style, and it might spill into Lebanon

    Not in Israels interest.

You can say what you want to, I never said Assad was a threat,I just said he is friends with Iran and Hizbollah. My point was Hizbollah were a threat when another poster said they were not. The Syrian civil war has already spilled into the Lebanon. Israel has already bombed Syria, obviously they do not drop bombs on people if they do not think it is in their interests.
