^ I did not say that there are not people who are voting against Obama. There are many reasons for how people cast their ballots.

    IMO you're ascribing too high-minded a motive.

First thing you've said in a while that makes sense. Like The Men's Warehouse guy says: "I Guarantee It"

Might not have liked Mitt the Leader too much at first blush but a lot of folks such as this poster would crawl across miles of broken glass to see Obama tossed out.

    They really don't like Romney.

On another forum I saw some baggers and neo-cons complaining they were going to vote for Romney even though they think he's too liberal so they'd have the chance to throw him out in 2016 in favour of a 'real' conservative.

I pointed out the inherent risk in that was that Romney or another RINO might win again so the logical thing to do would be to vote Obama who is guaranteed to be out in 2016 or not vote at all this time around.

    I got banned for that.

Lookin' good so far: GALLUP: ROMNEY UP 52%-45% AMONG EARLY VOTERS...

Early voters/Late voters - won't make any difference now especially as the exposure of the massive coverup of called Benghazie-Gate unfolds.

The biggest achievement of the Republicans in this election is that they've somehow managed to get people to forget about the state Bush left America in.

Simply stating the obvious. There are many reasons that people have decided to vote for Romney. Many voters are more frustrated than concerned over policy.

Frustration is not high minded, it is an emotional reaction but certainly not sensible.

Many in Northern Ohio whose jobs were saved by the auto bail out are indeed voting for Obama. But they are outnumbered by those who have bought into the right's lies and character assassination.

Obvious to you and me although the majority of Obomabots choose to look at this Romney guy as some sort of anti-Christ and attribute voters for him as a subspecies.

Those kinds of folks are generally described as "Low Information Voters" and as such vote like Peggy Joseph who told the world Obama was going to pay her mortgage & put gas in her car.

    Here we go again.

What lies and what character assassination? If there's any of that going on it's from the Left e.g. Romney Magic PJ's, Bain Capitol lies and distortions.

You've backed the wrong horse Bert...

Bert...hate to break it to you but those are all legitimate unanswered questions inquiring minds need to know the answers to.

I posed a question on here couple days ago on how Barry paid for his college education and all that came back to me was 'student 'loans'. OK...what proof of these 'student loans' do we have? Met with the "Well, he said it so it's gotta be true"

    Right...

If Obama isn't the spittin' image of the original Manchurian Candidate I'll eat your grannys' shorts...

For how much the US right accuses the left of ignoring facts in favor of emotion there is no group on earth who more vigorously eschews solid evidence in favor of "it can't be that way because I feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel in my heart of Jesus 'n' Reagan blessed hearts that it just ain't so" than the modern GOP.

For more evidence look at the debate over Voter ID. No matter how many studies are done saying in-person voter fraud is about as prevalent as sightings of Amelia Earhart giving Bigfoot an Albanian Otter Squat on the hood of Elvis' UFO the response from the GOP shills is "I *KNOW* voter fraud is happening! Didn't you see those black guys dressed up in camo??"

^^ Snopes- snopes.com: Where Did Obama's Money Come From?

GIYF booner. Like most posters here, I just cannot be bothered responding to these repeated nonsensical allegations that were debunked years ago. Yes, you are the worst offender.

Apparently, the Obamas only paid off their student loans eight years ago- assisted by the money he made from his best selling books, which also financed the purchase of their house (another debunked right wing conspiracy theory). Their maximum combined income was $1.65 mill, in 2005. Yes, he even released his tax returns.

A week till we vote (some of us), so let’s see what that dip shit Dim Mitt is up to and his chances.

At a so-called “storm relief event” on Tuesday, GOP hopeful Mitt Romney repeatedly refused to answer questions about his promise to eliminate the federal agency responsible for responding to disasters like Hurricane Sandy, which devastated much of the east coast this week.

“TV pool asked Romney at least five times whether he would eliminate FEMA as president/what he would do with FEMA,” according to a pool report. “He ignored the [questions] but they are audible on cam. The music stopped at points and the [questions] would have been audible to him.”

Romney refuses questions about eliminating FEMA during his ‘storm relief event’, cuase he's a chicken shit twat of a person

And what Dim Mitt thinks should be done with FEMA, but will not say now:

And how is the Dim Mitt/Lyin’ Ryan ticket doing with Latino’s/Latina’s?

Overall, Obama has the support of 73% of all Latino registered voters, compared to 21% who favor Romney. The 52-point gap matches the largest gap among Latinos this year, also found in the October 1 tracking poll.

8 percent of Latinos have already voted early, enthusiasm up again in final week | Latino Decisions

Fat fuckin’ chance this idiot Dim Mitt will be elected. 27%

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

72.9%, 27.1%, fwiw, is pretty much bang on what the betting market is saying. Romney odds are gradually drifting out and will continue to do so until election day unless something major changes in the news.

It can't get any worse than the following example, surely...

    MSNBC Ridicules Romney for
    Collecting Food and Supplies
    for Sandy Victims

This one is really hard to believe, even for the most biased so-called "news network" in the nation. MSNBC on Tuesday totally trashed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney for collecting food and supplies at a storm rally event in Ohio to be sent to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

^ I checked the odds and Mitt has drifted even further. 3.35 return for a stake of 1 now (a bit better than 2/1).

It's not at all hard to believe actually. That 'analysis' comes from the Media Research Center, a known conservative organisation whose founder has referred to the POTUS as a "skinny ghetto crackhead".

By what logic gymnastics are you making that connection.

    Obama's sinking polls, Benghazie-Gate etc - guy can't catch a break!

    RealClearPolitics - Election 2012

Guess we can assume from his demeanor how he feels about all this bad news, eh?

Well we can't feel too sorry for this empty shell of a failed community agitator can we as he's gonna collect almost $200K USD per year for the rest of his life. Multi-million dollar mansion in Hawaii.

    Poor guy...

Watching the betting markets for this, they really are controlled by the news media and what they are saying. There'd be some pretty sweet insider trading spots if you worked for the news and knew about a story about to go live that would affect the election betting odds.

FEMA is a huge waste of money. They are a minimul presence in NYC & NJ with 99% of the relief help coming from the local level. FEMA wasted more money with Hurricaine Katrina. Remember those $2K USD Credit Cards they handed out like Christmas candy?

Time to cut the over-bloated government and FEMA is a great place to start...

It would be SO much better to have 50 different EMAs controlled by legislatures packed with lawmakers who ask Grover Norquist's permission to use a second square of toilet paper and then seeing people trapped on rooftops waving over a Private Rescue helicopter...and seeing the crew lower a credit card swiper before lowering the basket.
