I'm on Pseudo's side of the debate on this. I think the official version is a load of lies, many of them simply unbelievable and too preposterous to entertain as possibly true. But you do ask a valid question. If the hijackers were incapable of flying the planes, who did?
I'm not convinced it was a plane that hit the Pentagon, but there is little doubt planes hit the WTC. It's who piloted them that is in question. Not the guy with fire-proof passport that was miraculously found within hours amid all the dust, debris, and chaos, that's for sure.

To be fair, I can see why some people need to adhere to the official version. It's very uncomfortable to believe the sheer outrageousness of the conspiracy idea. Unfortunately, outrageousness is not evidence of impossibility.
