Can anyone recommend a place for a family of 3 in Hua Hin. Breakfast and beach location are not essential as they have their own transport. Budget is 1200 max per day during Songkhran.

Yea I liked it when they had fan rooms for 450 baht. I quit stopping there when they when up to 700 and fancied up the place.
Pleasant staff, good location and parking.
Hua Hin has become a surly crowded and expensive shithole like Patong or Pattaya without the naughtiness or a nice beach.
And seeing all those gray haired Scandinavians makes me want to :puke:
Hua Hin itself isn't much, imo. About 25km south, Pak Nam Pran is nice, especially near the southern end of the beach, which ends at Khao Kalok. A fair few places around there would safely be within budget, if they're looking for somewhere quieter. It's an easy enough drive into HH for a night out too.
